Super cool! There's an aussie on YouTube I watch that has a sherline and makes all kinds of cool junk with it. I'll send you a video next time I come across him.

Super cool man! Turn all the things!

You gotta post it next time you find it! I'd love to see it. Post it to the channel thread when you do.

Nothing special, just more stuff. I do have high hopes for the remote clamp pliers.

This is a ~70s Engelberg 10x70.5" belt sander. 3hp (same as my lathe) and about 3200sfm belt speed. Runs on three phase 220v, and was 15 minutes from my house. Came from some old IBM warehouse. Had been on Craigslist for about two months, so I was able to talk the guy down to a reasonable price.

Some cool badges on here @Green Hell Mustang

oooooh... got a link to that? Wondering how tall that goes.. such a friggin PITA working on the 60 or 80... 60's not as bad since there's enough empty space for me to crawl into the bay if I have to ;)

No problem for height, this is the lowest position, easily tall enough for my Ram 2500 4x4 on 33’s and my FZJ80 on 36.5 Michilin XL’s and 3” OME...

Your Parker is about 75lbs heavier vs the Prentiss...i think. I've chatted with the guy over email and the Parker 434 1/2 is mine and I might consider the Reed 404 1/2...not that i need another vise. Like I said, prices are reasonable and I'm paying $200 for the Parker. He's asking $300 for the Prentiss 21 but it comes with a set of Kevin's (KMScott on garage journal) jaws which are $93 plus shipping.

I was hoping that if folks were interested I could broker a 'package deal' price.

Prentiss 21
Reed 404 1/2
Columbian 204 1/2
Parker 272
Parker 434 1/2
Rock Island 92
Prentiss 52
Record 3
Prentiss 19 1/2
I'm late to the train. How much would he want for the Reed 404 1/2? That is, if you aren't still considering it.

Later in the game, I’m in need also, can you check what he has left? Did you already arrange for one you wanted?

I already went and picked up one (few weeks ago). He still had some left then (maybe 3 or so). I texted him earlier and no response yet...but I do expect that he'll respond even if he has none left.

I already have two Wilton's, one in use and one in pieces to be restored. I can't help but think that Columbian sure would look good on my bench.

Spoke with Craig an hour or so ago.

@Green Hell Mustang @Mtbcoach

The reed is sale pending...guy from Kentucky is coming next weekend to get it. If for some reason he’s a no-show then you’re up Alex.

He still has Rock Island 92 (4 1/2 inch, swivel jaw swivel base) and Prentiss 19 1/2(4 inch, swivel jaw, swivel base) with carnival lettering.

The rock island is a decent sized vise but the jaws are cast as part of the dynamic and stationary pieces.

Thanks Jon. Much appreciated. Here's hoping he decides on a vise closer to home.

I thought about the Prentiss, it was mighty enticing, I still think I want to try to hold out for a Reed. The last Reed (404 1/2) I tried to pick up was for sale on Craigslist for all of 20 hours before someone bought it out from under me. I need to get faster at this stuff.

I seriously considered buying the reed when I was there. It was really nice but I’ve got vise vices and don’t need anymore right now!
