What about this Toyota rain shield? Just about the right size for me.;)

Those are the ones that tall guys end up looking through.
Not bad on a clear day but frost, snow is a bugger
As well the "fog" as they get older and greatly reduce visibility
I have then on my wife's winter beater. It is a love/hate relationship

Interesting, I didn't know they could be had OEM, makes sense in tropical Malaysia I guess. do you by any chance have the part number in case i need to replace mine?

This is an older type of toyota rain shield without the black strip.

Just like to clarify that the rain shield is for JDM only. You can't find it on diy or part book. However, is fit just nice on your door frame and stamped with the word. TOYOTA.

Hello Mudders,

Locked79 and clintnz: thank you, 'monsoon' and 'weather shield' worked. Not necessarily the kind i want, but it's a foot in the door. Crushers: what you say makes sense, but if they are glued on, it can't be difficult to remove them if i don't like them. Wongtsenhin: that sort is WAY too big for me; i am only keen on the slim sort, all i'd like is to be able to open the two front windows a bit without getting rain coming in. 1978HJ45: yup, that's what i'm looking for, but not in metal.
Big thanks to all for your input.

glued on, then when you remove, strong chance the paint will come with them. i have had that happen on a couple already.
2 way tape, the thicker stuff, that way if you don't like them you can cut the tape down the middle and slowly remove the remainder with glue remover. this MIGHT save the paint.
better yet, I am sure Mike knows someone that has a set on their cruiser. take it for a test drive and picture looking through them for your long trip. watching a sunset through them. happen to see a chick in a bikini, well you THINK it is a chick since you can't quite tell.
lol

I had a pair of the slim ones tinted that came with my 77. I took them off and accidentally stepped on them. They do exist just not mine anymore.

I replaced them with the one everyone seems to hate and love them. My wife likes that she can roll down her window and her hair doesn't get ruined by the wind.

I like them for the same reason.

It could be worse.
