Just waiting on the ball cups from the machine shop and the custom barrels for the joints. I'm hoping to see everything early next week. I don't see anyone hurrying to get things done this week.

Agree! Thanks for the update.

I've had quite a bit of interest in the UCAs. I'm still waiting on parts from the machine shop to finish up my fixtures and get going on these.

I have 10 sets of tube cut ready to bend. This will happen in the next two days. All my pieces are here from Currie.

Hoping I'll have a picture of the finished product by the end of the week and installed on my 100 by the end of the following.

I like the combo of fixed castor correction for simpler alignments, tubular arms, and a tradition ball joint. Also price is a huge factor here without a sacrifice in quality. Total chaos are cool but on the 100 I don’t see a significant need for a uniball, though tubular arms are a big plus. Kinda of meeting in the middle on a lot of UCA designs in my mind.

@TRAIL TAILOR I have your tow points front and rear on my cruiser and I need to get some good shackles for them. What size pin would you recommend for them? The ad says its a 1" hole but that doesn't seem like a common shackle size. Any input? Thanks.

I'd run 7/8" pin shackles or get soft shackles from Bubba Rope (Gator Jaw Pro) if you have the new design tow points.

Might be a silly question -- but is it safe to keep the soft shackles on the points at all times? I'm assuming so, because I see Jeep guys running steel D-Rings every day. I guess my only concern would be if the weather affects them poorly.

Also, do you know when you'll have the recovery point fastener kit available?

I wouldn't keep metal shackles on my recovery points full-time, let alone soft shackles. The rope used to make soft shackles is susceptible to UV damage if constantly exposed, easily abraded if not protected and tends to collect road grime and debris inside the braid. They're also easy to steal and generally more expensive than metal shackles so they might attract sticky fingers if left on.

For the attachment bolts, I just bought a set of 10.9 grade, 14mmx1.5x50mm long bolts.

That's exactly the answer I was looking for.

And yeah I almost just ordered them from Bolt Depot, but I like supporting small business whenever I can, so figured I'd ask.

Thanks BEG.

You're welcome. I actually bought Jason's very first set of recovery points (I had asked if he could make me a set and they ended up being very popular) and he didn't have a hardware set available at the time, so I bought mine from Bolt Depot. Otherwise, I would've ordered those from him as well.

Got all my ball cups for the UCAs today. Enough for 50 sets are on the shelf now. Currie shipped all the machined hubs and barrel kits and should be here Monday. Ball joints are on the shelf now.

I ran out my fixture hub bungs on the lathe this morning for my jigs.

Genuinely stoked for these. Gonna scrounge up my seat cushion change for a pair when I put my TD order in. You really are the man.

BTW, awesome packaging on the recovery points. I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning.

I know it’s a smaller market but any chance you’ll make an AHC sensor bracket on your UCA ?

Only current market is SPC and I’d much rather give you my $
