Just what city racer carries. Don’t you have them as well? I believe the original is a yellow zinc. The reproductions I’ve seen seem to be a blue zinc.

I will note that I had to file the casting ever so slightly to get it to fit into the bracket. I mean like less than a millimeter from each side. So I suspect they are casting new parts in China for these pumps. Didn’t they use this design on a lot of vehicles of the era? As long as the front seal holds up and the bushings are decent quality I guess this pump will last a long time. I suspect this is the unit city racer is selling, but he’s putting it together with a reproduction resoviour and cap with a reproduction sticker to match the OEM, minus the yellow zinc.

What this isn't normal? Both of my toyodas are like that?
If you look closely, you can see trace bits of the yellow zinc plating, which I honestly didn't notice until I wiped the cap clean for the picture. I think it just fell to inadequate prep from the factory. You can see where it's rubbed off from my reservoir too.
i may indeed have a NOS Yellow Zinc one , ill check now
