I was told by a sales acc at a Toyota stealership, that the "diesel Tacoma" will have a CUMMINS, A CUMMINS!!! REALLY!!!! Toyota makes THE BEST diesel engines in the world yet they have to go to a rattle box cummins for the taco? What a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm REALLY getting tired of the bull s*** emissions laws that don't make sense. I live in a mining town. ONLY DEISEL TLC's are allowed to run underground because the emissions ARE FAR LESS DANGEROUS than gas engines? Who is making these laws?

My father-in-law is a used car manager at a Toyota dealer and I asked him about this exact thing a couple of months ago. He said that it wasn't true (to the best of his knowledge) but that Toyota was looking into selling diesels in this country. He was confident the diesels would be Toyotas.

Toyota has been "looking into" selling diesels in NA for 20 years. If I were a betting man I would bet that there will be a hybrid gas truck before a diesel.
