The body shop I went to did not want to paint that surface. They say it's a vinyl coating. Not paint on metal. So any new paint on top will flake.

So I am unsure of which is correct... Interested in the final outcome.

Love the quality of the shop. That's a lot of work on the color!

@YinDW -- Why dont you take your truck to Premier AutoSports in Richardson? They just painted mine so it is obviously not a problem.....

Getting closer to complete. Next step is installing all new glass and trim

We've been doing our own restoration on a 40th out here in Arizona. The paint removal has been a slow and arduous task, but we should have it stripped down in a few years now. And look, it also has some custom body work!*

It's number 333, the owner has committed that memory.

*Not pictured; dented passenger corner of the lower valance from a light pole incident, dented exterior of the tailgate, and the large dent in the rocker panel on the passenger side. Wheels great, though!

You should top off this first class restoration with a V8 since its headed to Slee..

Rig was picked up last night and shipped to Christo. Barely fit into the enclosed trailer :)
Hopefully a 3 day turnaround at Slee!

Will this rig see any time off-road? I can't make up my mind if it should be headed around the world or to a hyperbaric chamber.

Also are you keeping the engine stock?
