USPS ftw today, it seems. Small package for delivery today, saw the mail person deliver the mail while I was mowing and went to grab it. Nothing in the box - just got the email notice 4 hours later that delivery was 'attempted but nobody was home'....... ;)

Don't get me started on USPS, they'd have to improve around here to be inept. Had a customer send me a priority envelope from AL. I tracked it on the third day. It had made it to Chesnee Post Office (where I live), got sent to Spartanburg, then to Greenville, back to Spartanburg then to Chesnee again. They then marked it as un-deliverable and sent it back to the sender. IDIOTS!!!!

USPS is super reliable y me however Fedex is horrible I dont know how many times they have lost a package or delayed the delivery. We are signed up for a mail order meal service through www.greenchef.com and they deliver every wednesday on ice and its perishable they ran out of time for the delivery today so now its not being delivered.

heard a bit of dave ramsay last night....it amazes me the calls he gets.

this one guy was an over the road truck driver....struggling to pay the bills for whatever reason and wanted to try and save $1000 (he made $30k a year after taxes he said)....and after Dave asks him the usual questions, the caller states that he has a wife who does not work and is on bed rest pregnant with their third child....and you could hear the disappointment in Dave's voice.

Maybe I'm not a sensitive person, but if you make $30k a year after taxes driving a truck and gone for weeks on end, why have a third child? Or even one for that matter. It grinds my gears that people do stuff they can't afford and are one day away from being on the taxpayer's dime. Yes, safety nets for children is a good thing, but where do we draw the line? I work hard for my money and don't do things I can't afford.

For all your non ranting rambling needs

This thread needs some hate...

Repaired a hose the other day with a female end from HD. Went to spray off the car this morning and what the fxxx...the 2nd pic explains everything. Let's all see how we can fxxx up a hose end. At least they included a washer :censor:

What I hate are the hoses that have a rib running the interior length. If you want to replace an end, you have to try to slice it out without cutting up the rest of the hose and the rib is usually a stiffer rubber than the rest. It usually takes the thinnest Xacto blade/handle you can('t) find. The repair end will not fit inside the hose with that rib there.

I hate the keyboard on my S8+ and the spell checker.

Keyboard is just not right for my hands I guess always hitting a . Instead of the space bar even though I'm hitting the space bar, and always then hitting the space bar in the middle of words and the wrong letters all the time. This wouldn't matter much if the spell and grammar checker was worth a damn, but it doesn't realize they there shouldn't be a period after every word or that any4hing is not a word. In fact the only thing it will change is words I am typing on purpose that aren't really words and words that have two spellings it will change it from the correct form I am using to the inccorect one for some reason. It's taken me about 15 minutes to type this out correctly having to go back and change things myself and I just realized I missed inccorect and that is twice now it hasn't changed it to incorrect. But I can type Hawse 10 times and it will change it to Haase every time.

I unpacked a new bathroom vanity light we bought from a specialty light shop. Over $300, IIRC. Wanna see how they intend for it to be grounded???

Yep. Aluminum and hot glue. Glued to the plastic LED backer and kinda bent over to contact the aluminum frame at the tail.

The ground goes to the shower head pipe, I believe, or bathtub drain cover.

Pretty much what I thought when I first saw this thread..... been meaning to post up and this friggen phone is the one thing that is actually driving me crazy right now.

Lasership sucks (and who the hell are they?). Last month, they left my packages in the driveway in front of the trucks. Today, they left one on the hood of the truck closest to the street. That's still only halfway to my front door. Waited all day for this one and the vendor usually uses USPS so that's what I expected. Sure would've been nice to hear my doorbell ring when it arrived. I wish there was a way to specify to an Amazon vendor which carrier to use or avoid. I guess I'll have to actually pay attention to the 'track shipment' button for every single package of every single order just to know what part of my yard a particular carrier will leave my package and how many days late it might be.

hehehe - I only ran into Lasership in Charlotte - they used to just say 'delivery attempted' when I was there and no delivery attempted. Cried to Amazon and they said thanks for the info but there is no way specify who they can use for a delivery ;). I do like them leaving on the hood of the truck, though.....

Claim that you did not receive the package, it'll stop. We had an Amazon order not show up, reported it. They sent the same order to us twice after reporting. The original never showed up. Probably on a neighbor's hood or something.

Annual compliance training strikes again. This time, its a "new", "revamped", "we listened to you and changed" class, called Ethics at Work.... @roadstr6 can talk about the sheer pleasure of this course.

How would you pronounce the name Shoelene........not the way i would have thought either....Shayleeeeeean

It was the most annoying, unintuitive, messed up screens causing extra clicks and pain...

I haven't taken that one yet but thanks for the head's up. I look forward to it with great enthusiasm.

I don't know how you guys deal with all that BS. I recently took a mini seminar with uncle Jerry and he gave me some insight on meditation. It's working! I walked away from a guy today just begging for an argument.

"Obviously you are primed for an argument but you actually caught me on a day that I am not, very much out of character. Have a good day" Look on his face was priceless, I turned, hopped in the truck and drove away"

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm............................................
