I believe that's the infamous Greg rock that hosed his fender and hashed my rear passenger RW ring.

That's the one!

@kreiten thanks for the great pictures!

Spacers will get you taller, but the stock shocks/springs are so soft the truck becomes wobbly. Don't want to be riding around like a jeep!

10mm front and rear will be fine with stock components, but much more than that and you start to get serious lean in the corners and a wallowing as you exit the turn.
I ran 2" spacers on stock shocks up front when I sent my Icons for rebuild. take the marshmellow feel of the stock suspension and amplify it.
I did it out of necessity, but definitely wasn't going to go wheeling with that set up.
If you were so inclined to upgrade your suspension in stages, I would go with 10mm spacer up front, then 2721 springs in back, then front coilovers and rear shocks.

definitely not the ideal way to do things, but it is an option.
Thanks for the advice you definitely have a lot of 200 suspension experience . For now I’ll just keep saving hopefully I can just do it all at once the right way.

I know Land Cruisers are awesome vehicles and you all are great drivers. Thought of you when I saw this.

That music gave me an aneurysm.

That said, Hells isn't really that difficult (especially when you avoid the Gate and take bypasses which this guy did), it's fun trail. The ending is sketchy, interesting seeing him go though that. I took the inside route (pic below courtesy of Cole) last time with the 200 guys. Which felt much more tippy than it looks as made obvious by the "concerned" look on my face. Patrick took the outside and got even more tippy.

There's a newer video of a Kia doing the Gate that's edited to piss. I'm sure he didn't just crawl up it.

Plus, and this is a big one, Moab's slick rock is VERY grippy. But that thing isn't doing Poison Spider or Golden Spike.

Funny stuff. :)
Would love to see that Subaru attempt Golden Crack and other trails from this crazy trip:)

Hell’s Revenge isn’t actually all that tricky if you stay on the main track...

Heh... Another jinx post, Tony.
:)

@TonyP, I'm with you on the music. WTH? I muted it as the music made it tough to watch. I've seen a couple vids of Hells Revenge and that ending always looks scary.

BTW, I drove over to Moab today and took a quick side trip to the trail head for Top of the World. Decided not to try it as it was already 3PM, I don't know the trail and I was alone - and just beginning a long road trip so no time for "oops". I'm now thinking I may wait until I get a "pedal-assist" e-MB and do it on that. The road up to the trail head is great and it was a great day to be out. Even pulled out the drone for a bit and managed not to crash or lose it.
