do 305/70/r16 tires fit on a stock 1991 fj80? what all terrain tires would you guys recommend for that would grip snow and ice well in the harsh wimters but also perform well in the summer in dirt/gravel/mud? Highly considering duratracs or the toyo open country at 2’s but also open to other commonly available choices

I know some people stuff 315s on stock suspension, so 305 should be fine, or 285/75 for same height but not quite as wide. Depends how much you’ll articulate the suspension. Maybe consider a simple spacer front & rear for a little more clearance?

If you like Toyo and the AT2, try the new AT3. It specifically updated the formula for improved winter and wet performance - I live in AK and they are doing great for me in snow/wet so far. People like the duratrac and they’re a decent hybrid for winter, but known to have weaker sidewalls. Probably a bit better in mud than most ATs. 2020 Tire Thread

OK, so I did search and read all the tire threads I could find but did not find any recent ones. My '94 is a daily driver with frequent use on old unmaintained forest road type stuff but not much real offroading. Some snow use, no mud. Where are we at for tires in 2020?

Another tire thread... Ko2 vs....

295/75/r16 called my tire guys today to order a set of nitto terra grappler. They only had them in 305/70/16. Was hoping for the 295s. He did, however, quote me $205 a tire for the BFG Ko2 295s. Which seemed less than I thought. What’s the latest impression of these. Anything else worth looking...

Help needed with A/T tire decision..

My eyes are bleeding from all the posts and threads I've read on tires..both here and other forums. Need help deciding which of below will be best for comfort and noise, 90% DD...10% in fields, hunting, etc. In short, the most most comfortable, quiet, solid gripping A/T tire. I will keep size...
