Thoughts on Cybertruck? (1 Viewer)

For what it's worth, there's definitely a market for EV's. Every ski trip I've been on so far, Ive rented Tesla model 3's, they're quick, fairly stable with the AWD (even on all-seasons), and from a ski trip stand point, plenty of charging stations at the resorts and at the hotels I have stayed at.

I can't speak on owning one though, living in an apartment and not being able to charge at home and lithium ion battery pack deterioration, I can't justify owning an EV. I would be very interested if an more auto focused battery tech becomes available though, one that's not as susceptible to temp swings and battery degradation from high voltage discharges and charge cycles.

This is....embarassing:

I started seeing these out of the blue. Actually saw two of them within several seconds of eachother, after having never seen them till recently.

I thought they were ugly in photos, but the photos don't do them justice. They look absolutely horrid.

At least the Rivian is decent looking. The Cybertruck makes the Aztec look borderline stylish.

I'm not a proponent of EVs in general, although I could see some merits for some people, especially with say something like LiFePo4 batteries.

this thing is going to go down in history much like the delorean i think
accept no one will put it in an awesome generational movie franchise

My opinion only:

The Cybertruck is not just plain ole ugly…it is instead…the most ugly thing ever built in the history of the world.

The Cybertruck makes me want to puke. This is not an exaggeration, this is a visceral reaction that manifests as physical repulsion when I am exposed to one of them.

Female Sexual Dysfunction :meh:
My days of contributing to world’s population is over……i am fine with my car having Female Sexual Dysfunction as long as it gets me to my destination with me fully rested and energized.

FSD is what i want. No matter the shape.
FSD tried to drive me the wrong way down a one-way street just a few weeks ago. I'd say it makes some glaring error at least every 3rd time I use it. It's not all it's cracked up to be.

Ah damnit. Thanks. What FSD version u on? And what Tesla you have?

2024 Model 3 Highland LR running v.12 2024.45.25.5. I also tried out FSD in my 2020 Model S LR. The new version is much better at general FSD on navigation, for instance, it did successfully drive me to my mom's house a few towns over with zero input. But you have to remain just as involved and vigilant as if you were driving because it will do something profoundly stupid every few trips. IMO, that level of attention will sap your energy just as much as driving the old fashioned way. After the novelty wore off, I stopped using it altogether. Thankfully, they offer it as a subscription now, so you don't have to pay $6k upfront for the feature. You can try it a couple months and drop it if you don't like it.

i bet it doesnt know how to wave to a crowd either

While he has design a system to catch space rockets, you are still trying to figure out how to keep your pee off the toilet seat…..

It's funny how when people don't have a come back they resort to attacking people personally 🤷‍♂️ :flipoff2:
