That be awesome!

not my pics, but i really enjoy seeing all the different trailers and ideas and like these from the Tough Terrain facebook page and thought Id share them

The red one is pretty sweet! Not just because a sick fj40 is towing it, either! lol

I ball hitch wouldn't rip to shreds. If it did then it was going to fail before @ some point because it was flawed. The road forces on the trailer are greater than a slow roll over going 3 MPH.

In his case, a ball hitch probably would have prevented it from flopping over.

Well then,,, we agree to disagree,,, by all means let me know how your ball hitch set up survives the next time you set your trailer on its side.. That pathetic little piece of stamped steel that is bolted or spot welded unto the tounge is not going to keep even a trailer as light as 1,000 lbs from going over... been there, witnessed it, swore that when I built my trailer I'd not be using a ball hitch..

A cheap Chinese stamped steel coupler would have failed, agreed 100% with you on that:cheers:. A Bulldog, or other top quality coupler, not so much. IMHO.

I'll agree with that 100%, thanks... some of those Bulldogs are quite heavy duty and they allow for plenty of articulation...

I built my expedition trailer from 2 FJ40 tubs. It is a pop up and features a queen size bed, 21 gallon water tank, dual swing out tire carriers, slide out kitchen and gear storage trays, roof rack, plumbed for hot and cold water at the faucet and propane to the stove and lantern mast. Additional slide out platform for BBQ. Also has a shower, and rotating lunet coupler.
