Nice. What kind of cooker and what kind of wood smoke?Second time trying to smoke a pork shoulder and this time it turned out perfect. (first one sucked big time) Couldn't believe how good this was. 8lb butt, smoked for 9 hrs, then wrapped and cooked for another 6 hours. Just fell apart like butter. I think I'm hooked. Next time.... brisket!
I've been taking my butts to 205* internal and it has really upped my game.Second time trying to smoke a pork shoulder and this time it turned out perfect. A little late, but at 30 minutes, I start sprit zing the ribs and repeat every 15 minutes until 2 hours, then wrap in foil with butter and apple juice and cook for another 1 to 1.5 hours ....Never tried smoking ribs... As an insurance, I threw a butt on since I know I can get that right. Anyone see anything grossly out of whack? Been on for about 45 minutes, so I have some time...View attachment 1105893
The ribs really did come out better than I'd expected! My wife loved them. I hadn't thought to use butter on my meat, but Michael told me the same thing. After 3 hours, I pulled them, covered them in butter, honey, and brown sugar, wrapped them in foil, and threw them back on the smoker for another hour.A little late, but at 30 minutes, I start sprit zing the ribs and repeat every 15 minutes until 2 hours, then wrap in foil with butter and apple juice and cook for another 1 to 1.5 hours ....
