Future Needs/wants
  • Timing Belt (only 66K miles since the last comprehensive job but it has been 8 years!)
  • Dual battery setup refresh - Ironman branded dual battery controller has given up the ghost!
  • Headlight retrofit (or perhaps just LEDs)
  • Pull intake to clean up remnants of rat nest and replace the starter, all gaskets, injector seals
  • Paint correction/polish/ceramic etc.
  • Refresh/powder coat bumpers
  • Reskin front seats - Iggee seat covers fit and look great but don't have the softness of real leather
  • Strip interior and apply sound proofing
I am sure I am forgetting something.

Please do yourself a favor and just bite the bullet and get retrofits done, they are very easy to do compare to what you've gone through. Parts are less than $500 and a couple hours of labor and you've got one of the best setup that'll beat anything factory in modern day. So long as you pair it with the right fog lights. For leather redone, i got some off eBay, real leather, and they feel very nice and soft, color match is 98% as well. If i dont tell you, you wouldn't know, but i had it done so i know. Just search LX470 seat covers and you'll see them go for around $150 per seat.

A man in his 40s just called a 41 year old an "old bastard" !! Hahaha
You old bastard. Join the club

I'm not old, in my 30's, but i used to only date thiccc chicks and one time i got too carried away with one and she blew out my back. Never been the same since, now i only date skinny chicks :(

Yes, I retrofitted by 98 with the @Luke111 brackets and Morimoto projectors. Best lights of any car I have ever seen!

Do you have a link to the $150 per seat option? I have looked and not found any.

Lol i put a random birthday there, not my real birthday it actually list how old we are?

Ah, yeah when i signed up i just scrolled to a random birthday i guess. As for the seats, are you looking to do the entire seat or just the bottom cover? Most people just do the bottom ones since that one rips the most, my top one is perfect just the bottom has a split. This is what i went with, in gray

At $318 for the pair of bottoms, it is dangerously close to the full set from LSeats in price!

You wanna throw your money at Lseat after all of the quality and fitment concerns that have been posted?

I think I will keep my nonexistent money to myself 😉, and just continue to rock these covers for a while

I recently buttered the hell out of my front and rear seats with some mcguires, and put a pair of the on the front seats…can’t remember who on mud suggested these, but they’re great and fit snug. Not a perfect fit but I’m happy with them so far.

I really hope these work for a long time for you. I tried a similar product before and the elastic bands that hold it in place gave up in a very short order. My considerable heft, sliding in and out of the seat didn't help the matters either.

Here's a pic of my leather seat cover from eBay, the cover fits nicely and they sew some foam underneath of it, very nice and soft. Matches pretty well, i reckon once i get a little stain on them they'll match the top perfectly.

That looks great. Unfortunately the seat backs on mine are baked hard too and the arm rests and center console is all cracking as well. The covers I got right now fit great and look pretty decent too. I think it will be a while before I do anything about the seats.

I wonder if the same company makes most/all of the covers we see online... Tan wasn't a perfect match but you can't tell in person as much as you can in a photo oddly.

Probably a factory in China, mine matches well, to a random person they wouldn't be able to tell, i only know because i had it replaced or else i probably won't notice either. After a few rounds of taco bell and staining the bottom, it'll match perfectly.

AHC updates:
Both front sides are dead equal at 19.75" (approx.). I unplugged the AHC temp sensor and got fresh AHC readings.
Front is 6.0 mPa and rear is 2.1 mPa o_O . Looks like 30mm spacers on top of the LC springs are not really needed.

Should I worry about the slight difference in the front height sensor readings (right -0.1 vs. left 0.2)? Should I try to increase the front pressure to get it above 6.4? Would running the truck with really low rear pressure going to hurt anything?
special thanks to @IndroCruise and @suprarx7nut for hand-holding so far. The new globes have completely transformed the ride and I might even try to take the LX out for a quick trip this weekend!

Running lower pressures puts more work on the torsion bars/springs, firming up the ride.

If you want the pillowy soft ride in the Comfort setting, set the pressures at the high end of spec. It won't quite be as wallowey as a James May special used Caddy, thankfully.

1. I'd reduce the torsion pre-load on FR a turn. two turns for FL.
2. Take out that spacer, IMO. Running low pressure is fine, far as I know, but you're essentially neutering AHC. If AHC isn't controlling much load, it's limited on how much it can assist and therefore damp. Being on the low side of pressures is good for reliability, but you still want to be in spec.
