Changed the front for cost reduction since each color is about a buck. Would like to have a simple FJ40 bezel between the text ..... Can anyone help with that?

Even as is the shirt is about $24 because I only have 12 shirts down as a "possible" order. Part of that higher cost was because it was the "good" thick cotton and I put it in as a long sleeve.

If you guys REALLY want to go through with this I will tidy up the design a bit and send a link. Purchase would happen through the website not me.

Thoughts?

What would the price be for all black lettering and HG ?

Before you place an order, I can try a printing company we used for our rugby hoodies and shirts. They did a pretty good price for us.

You know, the coolest thing about the HG being on the shirt....victims can place a personalized failure point with a sharpie marker. lol

Black and Black (Looks eh) is 18.52 short sleeve and 21.52 long
gold letters with black is 21.52 short sleeve and 23.50 long

I'm in for one. One request though, I've got a black outline version of the club logo, the one we used on the "why walk when you can crawl" shirts. I think that would look better on the front.

I'm definitely down for one

Nice!

Can you please email to me.

Email PM inbound.

Could you work this in on the front for me?

Now to murky up the waters with choices:

I managed to gray-scale the logo for the front which makes it "1 color". The gamble is how good the actual print comes out. I just did a grayscale shirt for the science team and it came out okay.

Here (again) is the 2 color back:

Option #2 would be to simply use the Oval ONSC logo on the front:

Prices .... Regardless of front and a 2-color back, heavy fabric, long sleeve:

$23.50 for 12 shirts
Price break happens at 15 shirts = $21.15
Price break happens at 25 shirts = $17.37

Perhaps you need to make the image a six pack holder that's made out of a head gasket....

By the way, long sleeve is certainly not a requirement but it is something personally I could use more of, i.e. I'm overrun with short sleeve T's.

OK, so, here we are, 12 months later. The poor truck has sat in its same spot for almost a year. Here's whats been filling up my garage, and just about every spare inch of space inside the 80.

To quote the lady that didnt become el presidentette...."It takes a village..."

In May, I helped Rice tear down Ticky, and got the top end and associated bits from him. @jfz80 dropped the head off at the machine shop for the full meal deal. Guy asked if he could build 3 race motors first, so I got moved way back.....finally got the head back in Oct or Nov, but he took care of me with the price since I wasnt in a rush. All the parts bags from Ticky are in the cargo area.

Took the spark plug seals out of the valve cover, cleaned it, and sanded it down as smooth as I could. Then assaulted it with a 1/2inch drill and polishing wheels and polish. I tried clear coating it with VHT High temp clear, and it ran....so i stripped that, and did another 6 hours of polishing. It looks really purty now. I just have to remember which direction the new plug seals go back in.

Picked up a trailer hitch from @forrest5000. its sitting in the cargo area...

Picked up a new front bumper center section from @fj40z to replace the mangled one. Still in plastic in the cargo area.

Picked up a starter from @fj40z as well to replace my grinding, nasty sounding one that was packed full of mud and sand and who knows what else.

picked up a lower intake section from @fj40z that he had hot tanked.

Ordered two battery wire kits from @Fourrunner, one for each of the 80s. still sitting in their box waiting to go in. Highly recommend him and his kits. Worth the money!

Have the valve grind kit already.

Ordered new Denso plug wires, OEM plugs, Dist cap, rotor, PCV valve/grommet, rad cap, tstat/gasket, fuel filter, TOYOTA oil filter (NO MO WIX) ARP stud kit, and some other misc doodads.

Hit the green 80 at the pick n pull in winston, hung out with @Malleus and his son, grabbed the rear wiper motor, a bunch of bolts, and some dual filament bulbs from a celica. Converted the harness to use dual filament amber bulbs in my clear parking light lenses next to the headlights. Old turn signals are now irrelevant.

Ordered a new turn signal filler piece of sheet metal (the one between the headlights, grille, and bumper. Mocked it up this past weekend, and primed it. Made some alum filler pieces for the turn signals. May look at mounting my solar panel charge connector in the filler panel, along with a winch cutoff switch. Or I could mount some small rectangular LED lights on top of a bumper in front of them...nice to have options.

Removed front bumper, and every single piece of it was bent or tweaked (thanks damage multiplier!!!). Even the slip on caps were bent. Of course, behind those slip on caps was even more baked on,caked up mud inside the frame rails. Attacked that with a large screwdriver and shop vac. Did a small amount of hammer and dolly work on the dent in the front fender from said damage multipler.

So, here I sit, trying to decide what to do on the motor. I got a pretty good price from a Toyota Certified mechanic to do the head and parts swap. I'd just need to drag the truck up to him (AAA could do that for me). But, theres that nagging part of me that wants to tackle the head swap myself and save some money, as well as the satisfaction of doin it (which i know will go away about 25 minutes into disconnecting the wiring harness). With my wife's medical issues, I'm not set up to do a HAMOM at my place. And knowing my luck, Id roll the truck into the garage and start tearing into it, and our heat would go out (the access is directly in the center of the garage......LOL) So, I'll probably go the mechanic route, and hope it all goes well.

This weekend I intend on yanking the tstat and flushing the system one more time. I want to get any last bit of stuff/gunk/whatever out of the system, and have it ready to roll up to the mechanic. I also need to clean out all the other parts from the back, clean up the valve cover bolts and paint them, and load the head and parts for the ride.

And since we like pics....these arrived today. 285/75/16 Mickey Thompson MTX P3's. Total price from Discount Tire Direct was $664.00 shipped to my door. Plus Mickey T has a 100 dollar rebate, so they are practically paying for themselves. :)

I ordered a 5th for the spare on my way to get dinner (stupid smartphone....or stupid smartphone owner). They got me for $216.00 on that one. They are currently on the discount tire website for 270.00 a pop. So I'm OK with that. LOL

So, Whites out, or Blacks out? #raisedwhitelettersmatter

LOL I got whites out on my gx470, whites out on my 4runner. the tires that were on it when I got it were whites out.

When they mounted the tires on the gx, two of the guys about crapped a brick when i said whites out. They actually liked it once it was done

Ok, so since I can't go play at the M&G, I decided to nose around under the hood.

Pulled the plugs, and didn't see where they had been steam cleaned. #3 was the only one that looked different. ran my borescope camera down each spark plug tube, and didn't see any evidence of steam cleaning. put some new plugs in, and will replace cap, rotor, and wires while I'm there. next up is draining the coolant, and doing a bunch of flushes, and swap tstat and rad cap
