The cable was $179 and I felt it was kinda steep but it was the only option I found to just buy one outright. I do know of another company that also builds them but it’s not super cost effective. It’s done and installed. It is beefy too!

I have a box of used ones just gathering dust.

Had the alternator locally rebuilt/restored. Seemed appropriate since it was off and looked like it could stand at minimum to be opened up and inspected. New bearings/brushes and the standard shot peen the cases and then tumbled. Again with the help of @ToyotaMatt incredible resource of the South American spec part number sticker to replace the exact one that was on there (how crazy is it that he had that) the unit is back on. The new adjustable bracket didn’t make the cut yet since it is just a hair too long to work on an F155 using the factory size belt I went ahead and set it aside for later.
