Yup. Guess it's been a while.

The black lobster.

Needed a little reminder of Lobster fun in the summer time. Some occasional thoughts of simplifying again and moving her along. This thread helps with that weakness.

Lobster is in hibernation mode. For all of you down south, here is a reminder of what you're missing

That's 20 inches of snow, on its way to 30+ by the end of the day.

It would be a hoot in the snow. It's the salt that keeps everything indoors up here. I have the sacrificial 100 series, the rest take the winter off.

That T100 is priceless!

Is that Maine or NH snow? Love it.

Yeah, bought my first cruiser when I lived in Maine. A beauty of a '73 FJ55. $100 and it was all mine. It drove but the clutch was stuck. The rule in Maine is that you cannot have any holes through the body to pass inspection. The PO had pop rivetted aluminum flashing over the holes and used, what I can only assume was a broom, to put on a thick enough coat of primer to seal it all up! Well, a new clutch, a quart of epoxy and fiberglass cloth on the top of the gas tank and a few other odds and ends and I drove her 800 miles back to VA when I moved! Man that was a great truck!

I should add I meant my 100 series, not a T100. I grabbed that off the net. But, I rode in a couple that looked a lot like it back in the day. My buddy had a 1981 2wd that by High School graduation in 1990 had completely rusted through the frame and was scrap. Salt is a real killer up here.

My 100 and my son's Tacoma. Fluid film to try and keep them alive.

It's New Hampshire snow. That 30 inch dump was epic. My plow guy was delayed. The 100 series drove out my 1/4 mile driveway through snow above the sliders. 4 lo and a set of studded Nokian Hakkas, unstoppable. Unfortunately it warmed up and rained a few days later. Still, we get snow several times a week. Anything less than 3-4 inches doesn't even make the weather forecast. Drives my southern wife nuts.

As fun as it has been, and after all the back and forth, the Lobster is back up for sale again. I found a Pig locally, and the Red FJ45 is inbound. Something has to give, the Lobster is it. Big price drop too. Come and get it.

It was fun while it lasted. The Lobster has been sold. Headed away from the ocean, to live a good life with a Mud veteran.

Happy to say I am the new owner of the Lobster! She will be joining my other Land Cruisers in Des Moines Iowa in the spring. Will be selling the functional but ugly bestop. I have a white OEM style soft top, soft doors, and a stock drop down tailgate. Also have soft top ambulance doors I might consider adding. My partner, Cyndi, and I love the name the Lobster, we will probably shorten it to the "Lob" in honor of our most favorite SLN skits "Around the Town."

Many thanks to @JackA for saving this old girl and to @navydivedoc for selling her to me!

Perfect finishing touches for the Lob. I knew she was headed to the right place.
