Well, the truck sold today to a local guy. I'm extremely sad to see it go, but I have to say it was an awesome truck to own and enjoy. I'll be keeping tabs on it here and will update if I get any pictures of it or anything like that.

Can't thank both Ken @KLF & Brett @shellb enough for helping me along the way and letting me enjoy this truck.

Well, looks like she's on the move again

One of the nicest Gen2 Pickups on the road. Good luck on the sale!

I would definitively say Patty is right there with it too! I actually already sold the old gal, looks like the new owner did the interior and is now looking to move on.

I sent the seller a note but no reply. Its funny that a lot of the text of his description is actually my writing.

Such a beautiful truck. The only thing I might do if I owned it would be dual-case. It’s like a cheat code.

I'd say buy it!!

This truck has changed a few hands since I sold it back in 2021, first buyer had it for a year or so then it popped up on eBay. Second buyer was a fella up in Phoenix who had bought it for his 16 year old son as a first truck, then it made it's way back to Tucson a few years back. I finally had a chance to meet up with the current owner and see the truck for the first time in years.

All in all she still looks pretty damn good. The guy I sold it to had the whole interior redone in some bad black velour, which breaks my heart since it had the rare SR5 seats. Total bummer.

What blew my mind the most was that in the last 4 years and 3 separate owners the truck only has 6k more miles on it than when I sold it. Taking it for a drive it seems to run okay, but seems a lot more sluggish than I remember. The current owner is a great guy and I'm hoping we'll get to the bottom of why it's running so badly.

To be honest I'm just happy she's still around and not in a junkyard somewhere. Hope to have some more updates for everyone as I help the new owner get her sorted again.

Very cool, thanks for the update. I'm sitting in a dealer showroom as I read this, just handed over a check for a '15 Tacoma. Yes, a 10 year old truck. I honestly thought about looking for a vintage truck but the rust demon is still prevalent here. Not buying a new one, no thanks.

Congrats on the new (to you) truck! Post up some pictures when you get a chance.

Might be giving you a call at some point soon, when looking the truck over I noticed the vacuum gauge in the cab was reading very, very low. I imagine that is the source of it running so sluggishly.

2015 DC long bed, TRD Sport. 115k miles. Interior is mint.

Have they adjusted the valves? Maybe there's a leak somewhere.

Or maybe it's time for that 1UZ V8 that I always thought it needed.

Man I’d buy this back in a heart beat with no questions asked. Can you give the new owner my contact information? I want to be first in line!

Man! I should've reached out to you when I was going out to meet this guy. He told me he was going to keep it, then got a ridiculous offer from some dude in New Mexico like two days later.

For anyone curious, he sold it for $22k sight unseen to this guy.
