Not much new as I am still
Recovering fro surgery. But I have been able to mess with a few things . Decided to put a hard top and doors on . Been changing out bolts and just kinda putting everything together to figure out what I need . Set a winch in place to starting thinking how I want to make the bumper

it is T1028. spring green. just looks funny with the lighting

I know I know. As much as you guys wanted me to keep the Diamond plate. I figured I better get something a little beefier . Honestly I was a little hesitant to take them off figuring they were covering some nice body rot . But to my surprise the rockers are clean and solid . There is a nice dent smash But that is fine. I am sure that is why he added them to just cover the dent . I got some 3x2 angle and will make some HD rocker covers

Will have to weld up the holes but that’s ok. I could trim the rockers up 1/4 inch to cover them but I think it will look better with a painted portion under the door

Finally felt like I could try and do something today. . So I worked on getting my front frame boxed in . Got it all tacked in

I then worked on some bumper mounts. And was able to set the old bumper in place . I will bend up a new bumper this week that has more of a radius edge. . Set my winch back in place to get a visual.

Once I get it bent I will clip the ends the cap them to box it in .

Also I found a toy And I am seriously thinking about making this 40 a replica of it. Minus the white top . Not sure yet what to do about the top Just black with a white lid . Or. Just keep going with the spring green. My FJ cruiser has a similar look

Well I rolled the dice again and removed the rear 1/4 diamond plate . And to my amazement no rust . I fully expected these to be a mess . They did cut out the rear to put the tail lights up and honestly that does not really bother me for this build. . I ordered a set of the Bud built rear 1/4s and will open up the wheel well a little more to run 40s and move the axle back a little .
