Threw the 39s on just to see how they would fit. . I plan to move the axle back 3 inches and that should be just about perfect . I will open the wheel well up a little more .

Ok Guys I am at a cross roads here 🤦🏻‍♂️ I figured the spring green would be cool give it that oe old school look and I like it But I also do not want another FJ like all the others . I really like the Race look of the black and red toy . What do you think of going spring green with I twist 🤷‍♂️ I am not sure what to do with the red 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Open to ideas. Give up go all black 😩. Maybe dark grey. Silver light grey 🤷‍♂️

Your truck your call... Maybe you could do the additional work in vinyl so that the base is spring green and you can change the wording/stripes as desired.
Yes it will be vinyl for sure. Just not sure what color combo to use

Just need to cut down the big hoop now and make some plates so I can unbolt it . Yes I could have bought one pre made but I have $139 total into the entire front bumper 😃. Plus it’s fun to build my own stuff

So i keep looking at this and i keep wondering :hmm: I can not figure out a good way to 3 link the front . i can do everything except for 1 small thing :hmm:. And that is the upper link . i think it could maybe happen if i ran it off the top of my diff down the Passenger side ? Drivers side i have my exhaust. in the way. . This brings me back to Is it even worth it ? i could just spring over the front with some 60 springs. and call it done. then link the rear easy .

Since you're asking for opinions, paint it spring green and ditch the idea of graphics. The only graphics that belong on an FJ40 are old school pin stripes.

Great work on the tubing up front, looks awesome. Bending that yourself, or is it the Metaltech kit?

I like the front portion on yours much better than the metaltech with the flat top and a being bit shorter. Looks great!

The spring green you are using is perfect, you have me thinking i should just bite the bullet and slowly start to repaint my '71. It was re-sprayed 2 owners ago and it is faded and doesn't have the depth that I wish it had. Have you shared the paint code yet? I know you tested a couple different shades earlier in the thread. Have thought to try and uncover the OEM paint first, it's still present on the interior and under the hood, but that is a lot of slow tedious work. Would likely be faster to just strip it and repaint it. I should probably just be happy, enjoy it, and stop f*ing with it!

Well I went in yesterday to a spine specialist and they gave me great news 🥳 it appears as if I have a infection in my spine now 🤩. Not sure I could ask for much better than that 😞. So s I decided before we get this party started I would work on my bumper a little more 😃 So I cut a piece of plate marked out where I needed some holes so it would clear the PS box . And went to work . This will work out perfect for me because I needed to have a place to weld the rear hoop to . Now I can unbolt it all if needed .

When I got this 40 it had a box of parts 🤷‍♂️ In that box it had a Eldelbrock fuel pump . The motor that I got had a block off plate. So I decided to go back to mechanical pump . Order up a few parts and now we have a Pump 👍
