As far as I can tell he made a mistake in not telling the police. Maybe he thought the VP was supposed to do that. Dunno. It's a sad day anyway to see him go like this. If he is found guilty of covering it up then I say down with the bastard. Only time will tell. I do know they will clean house after this season.

See, this is kinda where I was coming from. I am sure seeing as how Joe P. came from a much different time, how he might have thought as many older folks do that you inform your superior, and expect them to do the right thing. I don't know the specifics, but I am more inclined to reserve guilt until proven as such.

So naïve. I would think any common person would start asking questions once they saw nothing happened to the guy. Sick, sick people at that place.

yeah but it is still sad to see it play out. Joepah gave millions back to the school. Will be interesting to see if he shows up saturday at the game.

Read this, it might shed some light... Not saying it's right but it raises some good questions like why the original person who saw the original offense was and has not been fired...

I'm not sure how anyone "sees" that and doesn't go rambo on that guy right then. I think I'd have left him as a bloody mound of pulp in the shower, and then called the police. Really, you see that and just walk away? He'll rot in hell, but hopefully the boys at the prison will take good care of him until then.

x2...

also, nice to see VT win last night

don't jinx us!!

yeah carolina is gonna be a tough one.

Have to say it was a great game. I was the only one pulling for WF is a sea of Clemson fans. Wake had the game locked up a few times. But the better team won. I wish Clemson good luck in the championship. I'll be rooting for them. The fans deserve a good season after all the hell they have been through. Maybe this will give Richard a big head again.

Should be able to get that elusive 10 win season this year, flirted with it several times the last decade but couldn't get it done. I think they should lock it in this Sunday though.

SEC not so mighty after all

Winning Records
I did some research and found some interesting data that I thought I would share in today's blog concerning FBS teams with a winning record.

There are 58 FBS teams with winning records so far this season.

The SEC East has combined for three wins against FBS teams with a winning record this year. South Carolina beat Georgia, Georgia beat Auburn and Tennessee beat Cincinnati. If you are sitting around the water cooler today you could argue that Clemson has four wins over FBS teams with a winning record (Auburn, FSU, Virginia Tech and North Carolina) or one more than the entire SEC East.

Florida State does not have a win over an FBS team with a winning record this season.

Here is a breakdown of the wins by each BCS conference and the wins over FBS teams with a winning record:

^Interesting stats. Miami might be the best 5-5 team out there. Other than the opening day loss to Maryland, their wins and loses are pretty respectable.

I'm not feelin' the Big 10 at the top of the heap though. The numbers don't lie, but it still feels like mediocrity to me.

JP... wow. Scraping the bottom of the stats barrel aren't you!

Here are a couple of stats on the BCS standings... which are the only ones that really matter (not that I'm a fan of the system).

SEC, 6 in the top 25, 5 of the top 15, 3 of the top 6, 2 of the top 3. No other conference is close. Typical domination... and in a down year at that.

Big 10??? They finally show up on the list at 15.

Congrats to the ACC... great showing this year with clemson/VT at 7 & 8 and then a cloud of dust... unless you are hanging your hat on FSU at 25. Also a typical year for the ACC.

Basketball is here though... you are just in the wrong thread to spout ACC stats.
