Stern your just upset cause you know your dogs are gonna get drug thru the mud in the sec championship game.....don't worry though Richt will be back next year to almost do it again.

He was just picking on your division. We all know the West floats the SEC.

True this year. The East is an embarassment to the SEC. No talent football wannabees... but back to stats... The East has as many teams in the top 25 as the entire ACC :D

We'll cover the spread... which will probably be 10 pts or so. :grinpimp:

Next year could actually be a pretty good year... if Grantham stays around which I'm betting he will. Very young team that seems to have finally hit it's stride. We'll see in the CG if they can keep their composure against what will be the NC at the end of the year.

Exactly........ the SEC East only has three wins combined against teams with a winning record, Clemson has 4 on it own. Hang your hat on that Steen:flipoff2:

That one again? You can do better than that. You already wasted a post with that dribble.

Auburn? Suck a$$ team as we just showed. FSU? Really? NC? Really again??? Oh, and you lost to our favorite Atlanta geek school... badly.

I know when you come from a "used to be" football school in a basketball conference, you have to dig deep for stats that work for you. You would be better off just talking about how clemson is having a rare good year in the ACC... and leave it at that. You are now sounding all DOHC delusional all of a sudden. (except for that libertarian thread... he was actually making sense to me for a while there until he thought he was a liberal :grinpimp:)

S.E.C. envy is alive and well.
Too bad CU will NEVER get an invite.
:grinpimp:

Don't kid yourself there is no envy here, I simply supplied some facts and all you SEC guys get bent out of shape.

Now that Clemson is on a fine run and has regained dominance in ACC football they need to stay in the ACC basketball conference until that part of the program attains national status.
I keed.

It's very hard for a school to be dominant in more than one sport.

If you had said consistently dominant I'd agree, but its very easy to be dominant in one sport and then throw together a run in another sport.

Examples:
UNC in Basketball and Baseball last few years granted this ones not football but we all know UNC will never be dominant in football
Florida in Football and Basketball early 2000's
Oklahoma in Football and Basketball early 2000's
Georgia Tech Football and Basketball early to mid 90's

Those are just a couple quick ones I thought of. But none of them are sustained dominance in both sports. I'd take dominance in football and average in basketball any day though, this is definitely gonna be an average or below bball year for the tigers.

Get real. For months all I heard in the Upstate sports radio was how CU would jump at the chance to join the S.E.C. Good grief Taternets were filled with the speculation.
Good luck against another A.C.C. powerhouse this weekend.
Hope ya'll don't need another gift from the officials to win it.

:flipoff2:

I really think the Tigers could have a BB team if they could keep a good coach. And be willing to pay for one.

UNC would have had a dominant team this year had we not had all the crap happen these past 2 years. But that's what you get when you cheat.

Looking forward for another championship run from the Heels in BBall.

I'm willing to bet Clemson has already gone through the process on whether they would want to be a part of the SEC. Pretty sure if they wanted to be in it they would be a serious contender to a part of it. That being said I don't think they want to be associated with colleges that put out sub par graduates. :flipoff2: Except for Vanderbilt why they are in the SEC is beyond me. Most if not all ACC Colleges put academics before sports. That is what they are known for.

Fans speculated and probably wanted to be in the SEC. The University knew better.

And we'll take all the luck we can get. I just hope our defense has one more defensive stand left in them this year. Preferably against USuC. If Steele allows anymore teams to score over 30 points and we lose he'll be run out of town.

I said no envy on my part....... I am sure there are tons of fans that would like to go to the SEC, but our current admin would never support that. Barker would rather join the Ivy league he is an academic elitest and I am sure he hates the fact that sports over shadow the academics at Clemson. Also USC would never vote to allow us in as you'd then lose your biggest recruiting advantage over us.

I am sure the SEC comissioner would love to have Clemson with our SEC style fan base and our superior Academics

The SEC east is down for the second year running....but the rankings don't show it.

It's harder to keep a winning record in the SEC.

point blank!!!

strength of schedule man...strength of schedule!!!!

Clemson would sell their soul to be in the S.E.C.
Easy to say the Admin would turn it down when there is no chance in hell they'll ever get an invite.
:flipoff2:

Wow, that statement ranks right up there with "We all know a 1 loss SEC team will always play in a National Champ. over an undefeated ACC team.

That whole "I can't prove it, but you can't disprove it either" style of debate, huh?

Jeremy

want proof???? who's produced more NC teams than any other conference in the past decade?
