For me anyway…not actually using the Coleman stuff I buy/fix is not the point.

are the kerosene lanterns as loud as the propane ones? i find the propane sounds loud and end up never using mine
Growing up with my GP on the island they use kerosene lamps (Petromax) and I do remember they make a certain noise when burning. It brings back good memories of my childhood reason why I would rather use my Coleman lamp during camping than a super bright LED lamp.

It looks exactly like this unit, My GP just call it Petromax which at that time didn't know it was the brand name.:bang:

About Same, but I think the Oil Burners get Hotter.
Fuel a lot less Explosive but harder to Ignite. Mine uses a Cup on Generator that is filled with Denatured Alcohol to Prime the Generator.

I picked up a red 200a finally. 1975 date. I think it needs a new gasket on the pump/primer rod. I thought $50 seemed ok. It had a beat-up box and its documents.

Chk Ebay - Hope your Sitting down.
I never really cared what Ebay prices were. A seller can ask a million bucks for anything, doesn't mean people will pay it. I don't collect as an investment, I collect because I enjoy the use and the utility of Coleman appliances. I've run across sellers asking ridiculous prices for lanterns, and they always say something of this sort "on ebay, bla bla bla, I can sell this for, bla bla bla". Ok, well, haha, go sell it there then, because I'm not paying that. And then I walk away. It's not hard to walk away, but a lot of people have a hard time doing it. Same goes for walking away when buying Toyota's, houses, guns, ammo. Lots of other people have way more money than me, but I know what makes financial sense for me, and I only need to win occasionally.

I love FleaBay.

It's Perfect for Hard to Find Cruiser Parts ie Interior.

Sold my 80 Series Center Console ($100) on there when I got a Dometic Fridge Console (ebay $300) to replace Original.
Was Nothing to me, but was extra special to the guy looking for a Gray console.
