Growing up with my GP on the island they use kerosene lamps (Petromax) and I do remember they make a certain noise when burning. It brings back good memories of my childhood reason why I would rather use my Coleman lamp during camping than a super bright LED lamp.are the kerosene lanterns as loud as the propane ones? i find the propane sounds loud and end up never using mine
About Same, but I think the Oil Burners get Hotter.are the kerosene lanterns as loud as the propane ones? i find the propane sounds loud and end up never using mine
$50 is really high unless it's in really good shape. Most I have ever paid is $25, and I've bought almost new ones for $5.I picked up a red 200a finally. 1975 date. I think it needs a new gasket on the pump/primer rod. I thought $50 seemed ok. It had a beat-up box and its documents.

Beautiful Coffee Maker. I have same one. Used it camping this Wknd to make Coffee 2X.Found a 502 today. Needs a bit of cleaning
I never really cared what Ebay prices were. A seller can ask a million bucks for anything, doesn't mean people will pay it. I don't collect as an investment, I collect because I enjoy the use and the utility of Coleman appliances. I've run across sellers asking ridiculous prices for lanterns, and they always say something of this sort "on ebay, bla bla bla, I can sell this for, bla bla bla". Ok, well, haha, go sell it there then, because I'm not paying that. And then I walk away. It's not hard to walk away, but a lot of people have a hard time doing it. Same goes for walking away when buying Toyota's, houses, guns, ammo. Lots of other people have way more money than me, but I know what makes financial sense for me, and I only need to win occasionally.Chk Ebay - Hope your Sitting down.
