Gorgeous.

Defrost vent separated and scrubbed 3x with Dawn and Simple Green.

An NLA part but we got a good used one and cleaned it up. The original from the Troopy was pretty wasted. The smaller one is still available so that is new.

New glove box plastic insert.

IMG_1591.jpeg

Other new parts, I was able to find the welting that goes all the way around the pinch weld on the top so that is all new too.

Horn button 😋

Five cans of this sprayed in all body cavities today.

Two of the four Alu-Cab mounts needed to be modified to fit just right. So we did that and after had all the mounts powder coated.

Not sure what you mean but we use the 3m because it doesn’t stink at all.

Just a heavy exhale from looking at something sexy. 😁

Got the engine bay firewall pad fitted, this is from a current production HZJ78 but obviously we made it fit-work.

Got these out so we can start fitting them, really nice seats.

Head is coming off to install ARPs.

Body came off to spray wheel wells with black seam sealer. We also needed to do the seam for the front inner-outer fenders after aligning them. Last reason is because it is very easy to install the power train into a rolling chassis.

What is your approach for clearancing the 6 bolts where the washer makes contact?

A fact known by few!

We are doing it right now, I will post details and pics in a bit.

So this is what we do for the studs under the cam. We also use the thinner OEM washers on these vs the thick ones that come with the ARPs.

If we are having a head rebuilt and we know we will run ARPs we also have the seat machined down about 2mm in the head.

Good finish for the week, head back on and mostly done. Just got to adjust the valves and assemble the timing belt components plus few other things.

Looks like you grind the top of the stud?
