I can partly answer this question as I have been stocking and re-selling the ARP head studs for the 1HZ and 1HDT for a while now, and have recently started with the studs for the 1HD-FT and 1HD-FTE (also sold as the Yanmar 6LPA which is based on...

My dad has one, loves it. Of course it won't be able to run the same trails or have the same level of durability of the 70 but it sure does win in the comfort department. I came to the realization as well that my 80, if heavily loaded, just...

Hey all, I am on the lookout for a GX 460, the Moab trip really made me realize the limitations of the 70 on a long trip like that. Its great offroad, but I really missed the simple comfort items like cruise control, auto trans, and road manners...

Do you mean pump up the oil pressure manually? Like through where the sender connects?

I can't speak to how they compare to the SLEE's but I am digging them over the bilsteins and ironman that I ran previously. Price point is reasonable and they look to be well built. I have about 5000miles of mostly off road on them, and I like them.

That sounds like you may be getting fuel bleeding back to the tank while parked. You may have a small leak letting air in to the fuel system while this happens. When you get air in the fuel, the internal pressure in the IP becomes unstable...

@mudgudgeon Thank you, great info to consider. The smoke is primarily only at start up until it warms up. The smoke is thick white, even letting it idle a while, upon first drive it belllows heavy as if its burning something off. I live in...

I am pretty sure I know the diagnosis, but wanted some confirmation from the experts. I've acquired the motor in 2019 to swap into my 77 series. I didn't do much to it except some preventative maintenance like water pump, timing belt, and...

@cruiseroutfit Perfect, thanks so much, its a 91 77 series. I should be in town Tuesday/weds, we are coming in via elephant hill, what’s the best way to get a hold of you? I sent an email as well with my inreach link.

We are on day 3 of our adeventure, having an epic time, currently camping at valley of the gods in monument valley, heading into canyonlands tomorrow. We got caught in a gnarly snow storm first night above mesquite. Went to toroweap yesterday...

@Outsane what is the camping situation like at the Cruise Moab scene? Would we be able to post up at the main camping area without prior reservations or being part of "cruise moab" It seems like its just a big field...

Myself and a couple others from the club are doing a route out of Mesquite, out to Toroweap, out towards Monument Valley, then into canyonlands doing some trails there, and should be coming into Moab around Tuesday/Weds. We are leaving this...

I ended up using aftermarket steel battery trays all together, the rear stock tray cracked and allowed the battery to shift jamming the pos terminal under the firewall pinch weld while off roading. It nearly burned my truck down, so given that...

Based on the direction the world is heading in regards to emissions laws, especially the US, I wouldn't be surprised if they tighten the regulations even more for importing grey market vehicles. We've seen it already with CA, its virtually...

Loober replied to the thread Oil Pressure Question.
You need to warm the truck up so the oil is at its normal temp, it will come way down. Mine starts way high when I first start it up, and settles down at about 13psi at idle once warm, and about 30psi at 2500rpm

Nice! Glad you like the gears. Toyota never offered 3.73 diff gears. But they did offer 3.70 gears in the early 60 series axles and some diesel 80 series from overseas. The difference between 3.73 and 3.70 is negligible. As far as the model...

Like to share my experience with this, I was the other person that purchased the gear sets from Radd Cruisers, have gotten them installed and been driving on them for a couple weeks. First of, I won't comment on the topic that @Will Van started...
