550 miles later all is good. My idler pulley was making a lil squeak this morning. A quick stop at Advance and it’s no longer an issue. One great thing about the 2uz is that parts are availble in any small town USA. This was a big reason I wanted this drivetrain, over the 1fz. I am a huge fan of the six, but nowadays it’s almost an exotic. Especially if you need a part, in a pinch. The 2uz is also way easier to work on, than the 1fz.

The 2uz runs great and the 80 chassis offers a smooth ride. With that being said, without; ac, sound proofer, heat shields, carpets and other creature comforts, I was worn out after 500 miles of driving. Ill admit I’m spoiled by the comfort my other vehicles offer. I realize all these can be added to the 55, but am not certain if I have the time/budget to get it all done over the next few weeks, before PP18. It’s going to be close.
