Thanks Dan,

The 200 guys are going all in with sourcing their own interior foam and exterior velcro and carpet exteriors for their black guns...

I do NOT supply these options, but for pic porn, here ya go. The 200 lid is smaller than the 100 lid for reference and why the single lid has become more popular for them.

That looks grade A. It would be cool to offer optional drop in steel (or formed plastic bins) that would keep things from roaming around. I was thinking like adding in a tool tray socket holders, etc for this spot.

I'd like to store a rifle like the 200 lid above. But what happens to the center bracket support. Is it safe to remove?

It is safe to remove because the strength & rigidity of the two layers of aluminum exceed the strength of the original sheet metal.

Excuse this question if it has been asked previously: Does the plastic tail 'bridge' gate ramp up over the hinge auto-magically when closing or does it require a little hand help? And for the aged among us: What are you doing for a little knee padding when kneeling on the bare aluminum isn't practical (anymore)? :D

D,

Plastic threshold cover works as normal. As far as padding and /or finishing that is left up to the end user to decide how best suits their needs.

On my double door lid with exposed hinge (on 2002 LC), the threshold goes over the hinge without issue, however always catches on the latch, and then prevents the tailgate from closing. I have to reach in and hold the plastic threshold up to close. It's annoying at times, but not so much that I've tried to figure out a solution to it.

3D print (or just sand down like a 1/8th block of plastic) little ramps at the end of the hinges? Easy enough if square, probably lots more difficult if rounded.

Just checking on status of upcoming production for 100 double doors? I’m interested in one.

Double door will be about 2 weeks and look the same as always. You can pre-purchase on the website.

Thanks Jason. I believe you said above you were working on hidden hinges on the 2 door. Will this new run be hidden, piano hinge or just like the pic you attached above?

Do you have plans for a hidden hinge on the 100? If so, what's ETA for that? THanks

No, I looked at it and unless I drill more holes in the lid and tailgate for installation the hinge for each door will only be on 2 bolts. Makes for a very weak and unaesthetic design.

Only way I'll make the hidden is with a single door.

I have finally gotten all the numbers in and have pulled the trigger at the laser cutter to make a run of these.

PM me for pricing.

Lids will be 3/16" aluminum with dual doors and Soutchco sealed locking latches. Stainless bolts and nuts with allen wrenches and antiseize. Doors are fully supported by an inner perimeter rail that is welded to the main face frame.

I've flipped the latches and locks for various reasons. So, the door will now open into the cab instead of out.

These are bare metal and available for order now. Currently at a 5 week lead time.

Thanks to the orders already made. I'll post updates as I receive them from the cutter.

What are the black latches you used called? I'm looking for some for door latches on my trailer

Get a couple of the little dome-shaped plastic furniture sliders at Lowe's or Home Depot and stick them with heavy duty two-sided foam tape to the bottom of the threshold filler piece (the side that faces the tailgate when it is up). This will give the threshold filler enough clearance to not catch on the latches.
