Don't Let Your Cat Navigate

Here is my cat "Cruiser" trying to tell me where to go on Sunday afternoon, At first he would not let me turn the map over but he then found where "Pozo" is.

By the way I'll be leaving the Bay Area on Friday AM 9:00 ISH, if anyone wants to meet up at the Lowes in Giroy at 10:00 ISH let me know. I'll be leaving there by 10:30 AM There will be a stop in Paso Robles at the Walkers Reserve Brewery for me to pick-up my favorite beer...and I ain't tell which one because it is not normally in stock :D

Thanks Eric!

The Santa Ynez repeater work well in Pismo. Good to hear it reaches so far south too. I picked up the Broadcast Peak repeater the other day and it was very weak and noisy.

So here's the official Surf N Turf HAM frequencies:

On the beach, local...
"Norcal" Simplex 146.460

Coming from the South...
W6YJO
Santa Ynez Peak Repeater on 145.180 PL131.8

From the North...
W6FM
There are a pair of "linked" repeaters that provide good coverage from Pismo almost to Salinas. The Northern most William's Hill repeater operates on a frequency of 146.73 Mhz. A CTCSS (PL) tone of 127.3 Hz is required to access the repeater. The repeater does transmit PL. It is located 2800 feet above sea level at Williams Hill near San Ardo.
The Southern most is the Mt Lowe repeater operates on a frequency of 147.36 Mhz. A CTCSS (PL) tone of 127.3 Hz is required to access the repeater. The repeater does transmit PL. It is located 2624 feet above sea level at Mt Lowe near San Luis Obispo.

Is the Santa Ynez repeater a + or - offset?

Thanks

145.180 is a - (minus) offset

Cruiser is ready, I still need to pack the popup trailer. Any reason I should pack my (not so gently) used (light beige metallic) fender flares or running boards or bronze bug deflector from my 93 fzj80. I would like to see them go to a good home instead of taking space alongside my house. Any takers?

I just finished my big pre-SnT prep item and am nearly ready to go! https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/248870-i-made-something-awesome-snt.html

I don't know anyone, so I'm bringin extra beer. :D

I'm coming from Cupertino/San Jose, but in the BJ42 I have to move slow (55 ish) so it'll take me almost 5 hours. You all think its worth trying to get in at ~8pm Friday or should I just wait and come in Saturday at noonish?

I've been to Pismo (Oceano Dunes) Well over 100 times..either for the day or for camping. And I have come in to camp at all hours day and night under different circumstances ie: with kids / w/out, with the wife or the guys, big groups and little groups. My personal opinion would be if you can get there around 8 pm...go for it! you'll have a great support group if you get stuck and you'll be happy when you wake up Sat morning and your already here! I know I like that feeling....this concludes my .02:D

Got a new tent, got a PETT toilet, got adult bevs, have the meal plans down...
Just gotta get the gear together.
Well be leaving Reno around 8 or 9 on Thrus. morning, so planning to hit the beach around 4 or 5 PM.

Matt,
Watch out for us. Well be in a PAINFULLY STOCK toyota tacoma with BLOTCHER on the license plate!
Look forward to seeing you guyz again!
