You need some tires?

The wife and I have friday off so we will be leaving early friday and should get there i the early afternoon, Just have to swap the tires on he 45 I hope my old 32'' MTR's will fit might make the drive in the sand easyer. See you all soon

I can yank some tires off something I have around here so you can make it there faster.

Does anyone know if the rest stops along the interstates have wi-fi? Would be nice to keep in touch on the way down, and keep an eye on the exchange rate for any major purchases ;) If it's not too cold, I hope to get away without hoteling it.

The Sacramento #1 posse (at least 2 trucks) will be leaving Sac mid morning Wednesday, with the goal to get in before dark and eat dinner on the beach. At FJ60 speed, I hope to be sharing a beer with Pismo Jim by 5pm. I'll likely haul down a bit of firewood to have a fire that first night unless the locals will have some wood on the beach.

I think the Caja China will arrive Thursday, and so the pork feeding frenzy will begin then. Pretty cool there is even more pig on the Beach for Saturday! that's nice work by the Camping Lab dudes.

I'll be monitoring 146.460 and the two linked repeaters and hope to speak to the dudes on the beach by noon or so. I just put a radio in my FJ60 and I'm stoked to try it out. Jim-will you be monitoring the repeater on your HT?

Any word on the creek yet? It's been pouring for 2 days here and I would expect a bit of water to cross. I hope so, just not a raging torrent!

Mentally I'll be in Pismo after work on Monday and maybe before!:grinpimp:

Raging torrent:D

Andy, is Jeff missing class to come down with you?

No, unfortunately he has a section tournament on Saturday. We talked about him driving "his" FJ62 down after the games, but the time just didn't work. He'll be there in spirit, I'm sure.

Pfft!

I've been there for a week already.

What is the wife going to need. What are the Kids (Beagles) going to need, etc.

Try to haul a Yamaha and a RTT on the same service bed of the tow rig as well as everything the trail spares.

Nat and I will be hitting the road from the Monterey Bay area on Thursday.

1 80
1 55

Anyone else want to tag along?

Just a warning, it will be 55mph the whole way, trailer and all.

Just throwing that out there...
me but im going the wrong direction...LOL see ya there:cheers:

#337. That's a solid showing. Nice work Jim. Looking forward to meeting everyone and getting my 4 year old son into Cruisers early on in life.

Anybody know if the road from the 101 to Garcia Ridge is open? I'm talking about Lopez Dr and then Hi-Mountain road.

Or is the only option to go round on the 101 North to the 58 and then to Hi-Mountain from Pozo?

We're in full Surf N Turf mode here!

Katherine and I just sat down for an adult beverage after stuffing T-shirts into bags for a few hours. We made it through the "K"s... The shirts look AWESOME!

I'm putting a FREE sticker and SNT key chain in every bag. ;)

I took a break this afternoon to help Teapot and family who have already arrived. Sadly, they are having bad luck with what appears to be a blown headgasket on the diesel tow rig. The locals are stepping up with support and Joaquin and Melissa are in good spirits. We may need some help towing their 22ft travel trailer onto the beach at some point. So the adventure has already begun for them.

On a lighter note, I plan to do a scouting run into the dune tomorrow to pick some new Poker Run Check Points. I'll GPS the coordinates and print maps like last year.

It's raining lightly tonight. At this point it is very unlikely there will be enough runoff for the creek to break through to the ocean. In others words, no creek crossing this year.

The locals are helping me move and set-up on the beach Wednesday morning. I think we'll have some firewood too, with the main loads coming in on Friday. Hoping to get the camp chores done early so more time for chilling and wheeling.

Katherine and I are excited to see so many friends! We can't wait!

:bounce::bounce::bounce::cheers:

see you all Thursday

Get some sleep jim!

I've already set my clock back, it's only 10:35... :D

Cruiserdrew, I'll have the HT and will try to monitor the radio on Wednesday.
