Will heavy 60's be able to negotiate the dunes in 31" A/T's?
Yes, no problem, it's actually better than the 37x14.50s I was trying to spin.

Mace and Doug thanks for offering to help with the Poker Run. I'll get the Poker Run volunteers together at 10:30 AM Saturday to go over the program. It's a lot of fun and a great way to see everyone as they pass through a CP.

As long as you are going down hill, it's a breeze!

Actually, the 60 makes it more challenging, and you need to think about running starts, and routes up the dunes that either are not as steep, or short sections up to flatter spots where you can regain some speed.

Last time I was at Pismo was 8 years ago in my old stock 88 4Runner. I blew the clutch and had to get towed out. I am a little apprehensive about sand and being around such a huge group of experienced members will give me the confidence to cruise the dunes this upcoming weekend. Looking forward to good people, good beer, and lots of fun on the beach.

Jim - if you need volunteers for any of the checkpoints - I'd love to help. I'd rather see every cruiser come by from one location this year.

Are you single?

Do you want to get married?

 :p

There is NOTHING like a delicious and important Duvel....

Period.

Cheers indeed.

-o-

NOTHING, indeed! Could live on that beer for the rest of my life! Come find me, I'll bring a few to share!

And yes, married... but it's good to have a back-up plan :D

You two are speaking my language. I love the golden belgian ales. Duvel, Chimay, and Golden Draak are definitely on my top 10.

I love all of those! They're serving Maredsous 10 and Sint Bernardus Abt 12 on tap at my local pub right now DROOL!! If you get to San Francisco, the Toronado always has at least 20 Belgians on tap. Then another 20 IPA's and other styles... It's my home away from home!

This year the hard packed sand is fairly soft and steep South of Pole 6.

So in the interest of even MORE PARTICIPATION (hint hint) we changed the "5K Fun Run" to the:

"MOB MILE"

(Walking is totally cool too.)

I've got some snazzy Surf N Turf bib numbers!

All - be careful on the infamous 101 King City speed trap. Just set your crusier control to 65, and forget about it. :)

I might be driving from Salinas area on Saturday morning. Anyone else like caravan?

ROTFLMAO - Busted!!! Don't let Eric see this!!! You need any help?

Pighead ain't afraid of no speed traps, infamous or not. Pighead gots the special stealth radar-absorbing paint-type coating that lets him 'Cruise right thru speed traps without them even seeing him. Pighead has not been cited for speeding since he applied that special radar absorbing stealthy stuff to his Pig. So it must work.
Pighead don't need no stinkin' 'Cruise control neither. That's for them tassel loafer latte drinkers. Pigs just knows their natural 'Cruising speed and settle in there. Why do you think they're called 55s?
Pighead is leaving Sac at 0800 Thursday morning, arriving SnT whenever the Pig says so. There's just no arguing with a Pig.
