Well, I think its awesome, anyway. This is just personal opinion, but I don't like RTTs - I don't feel comfortable way up in the air, and I don't like having to teeter down a ladder. :meh:

Anyway, heres my cool thing! Floor space is exactly 7 feet long.

That is awsome. Now does your :princess: fit in there too.......
Good Idea indeed:cheers:.

That is too cool. Hey, I noticed you're from Cupertino. I grew up at 10407 Somerset Ct., off Blaney. Went to Eaton Elementary, St. Joseph's and Arch Bishop Mitty HS. Small world.

Yep, the :princess: will be packed in there with me! Its about as wide as a twin mattress, except for at the foot end which is slightly narrower. We like each other though, so we'll manage :D

Wow that is killer. I would love to make something like that, but I slept through home-ec so sewing up the tent would be way out of my league. Good work!

Nice work and innovative idea. Any plans for your gear when you got this thing setup?

I like it. You make that completely from scratch?

Well, gear is an issue, but I think it'll be OK. In the picture I folded the front seat forward, however there is no need to do so, the tent fits fine with them in the normal position. My own plan would be to just pile it on the front seats while I'm sleeping. If I had a TON of gear then I'd probably just bike-lock it in a trunk to my bumper.

Yep, its all from scratch. I bought a $90 walmart sewing machine and thought "hell, its just a tool, how hard could it be?" The answer, I've found, is that sewing is damn hard :D

I was considering having a local company make a run of the canopies if there was any interest...?

nice,,i love it,,put me first on buy one from you,,in black color.when you made all the little things that you plan to change from the original model.

That is awesome!
I love practical cheap stuff like that. What did you use for fabric? Be sure to notify if you have a bunch made!

Nice,
Must be somekind of BJ42 SNT brainwave out there, cause I just finished setting up a sleeping bench inside my BJ42 to get ready to sleep on the side of the road all the way down to Pismo. Good work on the tent.
Cheers,
Deny
