The mic on the head unit works fine. Just in case you didn't know.

Check out this post regarding the rear cam:

You can buy a single DIN DVD player and use the HDMI input or the RCA.

I wonder if you can use the factory DVD player. I haven't looked into it.

OK. So I'm still trying to get everything to work. Initially, the AC controls worked but I had no sound. I fixed the sound, but now the AC controls don't work. I have a 2006 LX470. Any ideas what I need to check to troubleshoot?

I had to uninstall the PX6, reinstall the OEM unit, turn on the radio, set the volume to something between about ⅓ and ½ max volume (don't set to max volume), uninstall the OEM unit, and reinstall the PX6. After that, the sound worked.

Somehow, it seems the last used OEM radio on/off setting is inherited by the PX6 and is stuck there and unable to be changed by the PX6 controls. At first, I tried setting the volume of the OEM unit to max volume, but when I reinstalled the PX6, the only volumes I could get was max volume (LOUD) and nothing (mute). That's why I tried ⅓ to ½ volume and that worked.

Hope this helps,

Larry

Does anyone know if they've fixed the issue where the outdoor temperature doesn't show up? That's a deal breaker for me, and I'm waiting on that to get resolved before pulling the trigger.

I love the looks of this thing but seems to be of very sketchy Chinese quality between the working issues, poor fitting panels and no customer support! What is the latest?
X 2.
I've following this thread for awhile and still on the fence about purchasing pending reliability issues.
Any updates are appreciated.

In doing my research, it seems that the Phoenix unit is more reliable with regards to the functions and some tech support. From the Chinese suppliers you are on your own. The newer version has faster boot up and seems like most of the functions are working. I have seen an number videos of these installed in the Lexus GX so should be similar.

Has anyone got an internal wiring diagram for the Tesla style screen min has lost sound , the radio repair shop know what the fault is but they need the diagram to repair

I’m having this exact problem with my 05. Did you find a solution?

The steering wheel controls work. But the Next/Previous buttons are reversed!
Pressing Up (which I assume is next) translates into Previous and pressing down (which used to be previous on the factory stereo) plays the next track/videos. The Phone Pickup and hangup buttons work fine. I have not tried the voice control button yet. Will do and report back.

I tried Android auto. It works through an app called EasyConnection and the audio plays over bluetooth. But the phone screen remains on all the time and it seems to be a mere reflection/mirror of the phone screen. The phone screen has to be unlocked for the display to mirror.I have never tried android auto earlier so I really did not know what to expect.

I have tried installing on my 2004 lx470. All kinds of issues getting android auto to work. Do you have any pics or instructions?

Did you have any issues with android auto? Getting to work? Also on the AV in cable from the tesla radio which yellow plug, video in, camera, or cam in plugs into the power cord yellow camera lead?

I too have a 2004 LX 470 and have had my PX6 radio installed for almost a year now. The initial install was a pain in the butt but has been smooth sailing since. I do not have any experience with android however the Apple CarPlay app seems to work fine for all but texting while driving. It never seems to hear the words correctly however when I do hands-free audio calls the person on the other hand can hear me just fine.

How’s your install/use been?

I recently installed a PX6 in my 2006 LX470 and I am having an airbag light issue.

Airbag light on dash is on, the the airbag light indicator is not active in dash

has anyone seen this or have a resolution
