I will definitely be back to take pictures of the fall colors and the elk in September. Get your timed entry pass a month ahead or plan to arrive early, especially if you are planning to explore the Bear Lake area. I entered at 3:45 am and there were at least 30 vehicles parked in the Bear Lake parking lot. Happy to chat more.

Agree, great pictures!
The city racer lights have a pigtail coming out the back to a plug, vs a hard mounted plug, so I found that helpful.

We’re going to be up there later this month. We have our pass for getting in after lunch. Hoping we can snag an earlier time before we arrive. I’d love to take the 40 up to Colorado but I recently sold my tow rig so I’d have to drive it from OK to CO to make that happen haha
We are camping inside the park so no timed entry. I think.
We are hoping to catch the elk and colors as well.

This sounds like fun! The RMNP website states that camping permit holders do not need a timed entry. Visiting Bear Lake does have a separate timed entry unless you are camped in that area. Here are two pictures from Bear Lake from last night taken about 30 minutes apart!

It is only clear in the mountain range outside of Denver. The entire front range is very smoky. I can’t see the mountains from my house.

Those headlights did not work out and I later learned that the headlight beam advertised was for a different lens. I will report back an update on the City Racer headlights that I just picked up once I’ve had a chance to use them in the dark. The city is never dark.
Meanwhile, it’s in the mid-80s and the floor was reading around 70 degrees today, which is a massive improvement. The top on the other hand was reading 145°F! I am going to put some carpetlite up there to see if I can bring those temps down a bit.

I put a scrap piece of DEI Carpetlite between my cage and the soft top just to see if I could reduce the heat radiating inside and it dropped the temperature by 40+ degrees F! On top of that, it is 10 degrees hotter than this morning. I’ll see if Manny has time to sew this into the top so that it looks better and stays out of the way.
It is also amazingly quieter on the highway. I just drove at 75 mph without earplugs and it wasn’t too bad!
I’ll put the grill back on when I have the headlights adjusted but below is also a picture of them installed.
