Dude,

Can't recall if you've swapped the rear DS with someone else to eliminate it completely!

shotts, how far are you from, slee, MAF, mudrack or robbie? That would be my next route. Just get a "real" cruiser expert to take over and not give it back until it's fixed. I'm saying that knowing you have spent a lot of money allready, but if you are in that deep, may as well get if FIXED.

Drive to christo and be done with it. I think robbie is probably still with the FJcruiser team so he's probably not an option right now. I don't know the logistics but i'm throwing that out there as what i would do.

Mmmmm, Robbie.

Too far. And shoulda done it when it was at 5.5" lift. :)

just for grins swap the shafts with your 93, I know new and balanced perfect.

I don't care if the shafts are new and checked out. A suggestion has been offered and if you aren't willing to try mine, or what others are suggesting, then there is no point to this thread.

If this goes another page and you continue to tell us everything checks out I will close this thread or move it to the 100's section.

Romer: What's your problem? Good Lord. Use your website powers and do what you like.

To answer your question....'93 parts were already swapped in the past with the '97 and no differences were achieved.

With everything new....all checked out....a lift height at OME Standard (plus a tad because it's not weighted down) I am guessing it might be something more "hidden". My guy can pull the T-case and check for bearings though I don't know if it;s worth it.

The last thing I'm gonna do is loosen up those upper arm adjusts, take a towel and tools, and drive the freeway back and forth re-setting those arms. If that doesn't work I'm done for now. Later, I might remove that T-case.

have you tried removing both driveshafts?

Romer, i'm not trying to stick my nose where it doesn't belong, but i think you closing this thread just because everyone else suggest things that he should have done or else isn't fare. This is a technical discussion board, if you don't want to be a part of helping shotts solve his problem, easy, stay out of the thread. if he doesn't want to follow someone's suggestions, that's his fault.

IMHO, it appears he has tried almost everything except letting a real cruiser person deal with it. He may have solved his problem, but then over adjusted only to bring it right back.

people are riding him about driveshafts....crap man, the guy has new shafts and has made sure they are properly balanced. Even went from OEM to DC. They said try different springs, he has. they said get adjustable upper links, he has. they said adjust them, he has.

i do think i like christo's suggestion of loading the rig down with weight. Keep adding weight until the grrr goes away. Take measurements, unload the truck and set everything up to those measurements.

Romer, you know i respect you, but i have to disagree with some on this thread that are getting down right rude to him.

I don't have a problem. When asked about the shafts, you responded new and checked out. You did not provide all the data.

The last thread many people provided suggestions on things to try and you were not receiving. I feel I am pretty fair as a moderator, but your welcome to your opinion. Just like your opinion that the 100 series is superior.

It's obvious your technicians are not qualified to work on this or it would have been resolved. I am not saying they are not qualified techncians, just not in this area. You don't want to learn how. So we are kind of at a standstill.

I will bet you $20 that if you brought it up to Slee, he would have it diagnosed within 4 hours of reciept, anyone want to add to the pot?

good point, but when does one say, "enough is enough?"

you must know that there's a reason why we have this smilie... :shotts:

how much good advice should be ignored?
