Curious if you know of anything off-hand about something similar for a 77 with a sunroof? Or where I might start looking for something similar?
Its not going to be inexpensive, but you can take a look at the place i got mine.

Car Consoles & 4WD Storage Drawers - Department of the Interior - overhead consoles, roof consoles, custom built consoles, 4WD interiors, storage systems, vehicle consoles, radio console, dashboard pod, four wheel drive.

offhand i did not see 77s, but might be worth sending mail

Wow the console took them a long time, must have had a bit of a backlog. They are quite popular here.
What did you end up doing with the transport? Their a b!*ch of a size.

Yes, kind of annoyed that it took a few months, apparently they were moving into a bigger warehouse and retooling. Tnt express was the cheapest. I do thank you kindly for your help.

Arrived this weekend, craftmanship is excellent, well worth the wait.

Better pics when its light out.

Installed today. Really happy how they turned out. Only thing i wish was included would be an extension for the done light, will have to make my own.

Need to wire the back speakers, and might purchase a less deep CB, i am not thrilled about it sticking out so much. Map lights need to be wired so will be purchasing a fuse block for the t console to add usb charging and the like. Broke the drivers side visor though, it was already on its way out. So new visors for me!

Hey Andrew, it's been a little while.
I considered consoles from Department Of The Interior a while back; what's your take on their quality and fit please?

Fit is excellent, their vinyl leaves something to be desired. It is very thin. I can see them needing to be wrapped again in a few years. I am disappointed a full size cobra CB does not fit as well as i like. I may have to get a smaller CB, at least one not as deep. Also wished they had included an extension for the dome light, ill have to make my own as the factory wires will not reach its relocated area. I need to put a small fuse block in there and wire everything up. But overall very happy.

So after going to the ER after i thought i was dying, turned out to be a kidney stone.... holy 9 lb 3 oz baby jesus did that hurt..... made my way up to @fireball to get some work done. Pic heavy post ahead

Sent him my side panels, got a complete set made and they look epic

So a little back story. Wife calls the troopy the party bus. She loves when we take some of her friends to the beach, plus the dog. So to make her happy, keeping the back two jump seats. This made it more of a challenge to get the fridge and drawers in. A couple of back and forths with Ben and we had a plan.

Main unit getting ready to fit without the backs in

Awesome cup holder and cubby for the back seat passengers.

There is a right hand side section that apparently i did not take any pics of, so will in the morning with all the drawers extended. Cant wait to put these to good use. With the weight in the back, the troopy has settled down its harsh ride. A lot more smooth with the heavy duty dakars OME springs.

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for the consumer report. I have difficulty buying stuff sight unseen; in any case, i've overhead consoles by now. I must say, they look damn tidy! Sorry to hear about the kidney stones, i don't wish those on anyone.
What you're doing to your Troopie is fantastic, nice stuff, mister.

Andrew,

Thanks so much for letting us help you out with your custom cargo project! This is lots of fun for us, and I love creating solutions that work for exactly how folks want to use their trucks.

We spent a fair bit of time talking back and forth about what he was looking for and what he wanted to be able to use and do and store with the setup. Accomodate an ARB50qt fridge. Have some large drawers with heavy duty slides for spares and recovery equipment. Maintain the jump seats and provide an armrest and cupholder station for the passengers. And create an electronics cubby on the right hand side for a fuse box, amp, etc.

Thanks again Andrew, hope everything works like you were hoping! See you on the trails again soon.

There's some fantastic work being done on this Troopie.

He needs to change the title. Way past a "Mild Build" :)

The overhead consoles are super cool, allowing for good location of the CB radio and speakers and some extra storage space.

Finally added the drop down cook surface, from, who you ask, @fireball.......

Started packing in the drawers with recovery gear and the like.

ARB chair fits perfectly.

Installed the tie down points for the box that is going to live up there

Recover jack and some fluids, there will be a partition here with electronics (amp and larger inverter + fuse bock) to make sure they dont mingle.

99% of all my stuff put away, need to put down a toolbox liner to keep from making noise.
