I have been a little quiet here but busy with the car readying for Dakar, we are prepping for a new roll cage to give more room and sorting out some poor electrical wiring used for accessories like internal lights but also the intercooler pump and extra gauges/compressor.
My thanks to @cruisermatt for advice on brake Mc’s and booster parts and compatibility/adaptors and steering boxes which was new to me.
I have managed to locate an excellent original alternator in Italy as a spare and also an original clutch booster good enough to be restored and to find some diffs/axles to strengthen and rebuild with upgraded shafts and cv’s as spares.
If I can do the brake m/c/booster and steering it should make a good and strong car better and stronger and hopefully we can maintain the Dakar reliability record of this car.
