I figured I might need to adjust it, but fortunately it is very easy to do.
Also I am not going to be running AC. I wanted to set the motor as low in the framerails as possible.

Well I got some moer upgrades for the truck in the mail. The axles get this round. I recieved a 13 Bolt Cover from Crane and 1410 ubolt yokes for the 14 Bolt and Dana 60.

This cover is super beefy, and will help with clearance under the 14 bolt. I didn't want to go crazy with extra work like turning the ring gear down so this should be good enough.

Also here are some comparison shots between the yokes for the 14 bolt vs a Dana 60, the 14 bolt is on the left and Dana 60 is on the right.

And here is a comparison of all of the yokes I'll have on the driveline. From left to right, NP205 1410, 14 bolt, Dana 60.

Hopefully I will get a call from the radiator shop today or tomorrow and and get that back and reinstalled.

The only thing left to do on the get it running list is to fill the PS system with fluid and finish up the wiring for the engine.

I hadn't thought about until I got caught up on your thread, but I guess if i don't have a distributer, my current tach set up will not work. Hmmm...I don't have a balancer on the front of my engine.

Looks good Stevo. That thing is going to be a monster when you're done. I'm thinking the most power of any FJ out there. Maybe the stoutest too.

You're gong as fast as J. You guys make it look too easy.

Wyoming, I looked at this tach thing for a while. As talked about earlier in the thread there is some good info on how to do it. some setups use a pick up point on the flywheel the same way we are using the balancer. I'll look and see if I can find a link to that setup somewhere.

Fuel solenoid delete

Stevo,
Check this out! Found this last week and thought it would be cool. Took off the fuel shutoff solenoid and replaced it with a pull and lock cable. Have to pull on and lock to crank and run, unlock and push for engine shutdown.

The cable link at the pump is kind of rough right now. I have to find some better or smaller cable locks. The bracket for the cable support is the choke cable mount from my old 2f with some mods.

Sweet, I just used my choke cable attached to my fuel cutoff.

BTW Got the motor running last night, sounds good, I just need to reindex the shaft on my injection pump. It starts great, but idles way too high.
A buddy got video of it so I'll post a link once he gets it up on youtube.

Oh man you should hear it in person. The 6BT sounds so good. I will have to get some footage closer to the engine bay.

That motor sounds sick!!!!! I cant wait to get mine in... Im going with the 4bt...Looking really good man... Keep it up!!!!

Holset H1c with a 60mm compressor upgrade.

Any other upgrades to the compression / injection system?

You peruse 4btswaps.com at all? Tons of good info on there for 4BTs as well as 6BTs.

Upgrades include the compressor upgrade, 3200 RPM spring, M&H #2 Fuel pin, M&H Dynamic timing spacer. I have a VE pump so I can still turn up the fuel by turning the full power screw and tune smoke with the starwheel.

I have been lurking on 4BTswaps, you are right about the info there. Tons of it available. That's how I figured out you got a 4BT for yourself.

That timing spacer looks sweet, ill have to read up on it!

Just researching for now :D

LOL.... Oh man Stevo. I mean, you do remember this is a 4x4 rock-crawlin' machine, right? This thing sounds like a rock---- L-A-U-N-C-H-I-N-G ---- Machine! I guess the Bronson's byline will be "Rocks, Rivers or Raceways-----bring 'Em ON".

Great progress!! Keep it up..... maybe some airfoils & rocket-launched rear Parachute work their way into your project?

Agreed, it sounds great and it's gonna move!

Great to hear from ya Rasta, how has your rig been treating you? I too have a feeling that the truck with the new motor will be slightly more capable than with the 2F.

Agreed, it sounds great and it's gonna move!

Hearing it is really the motivation I need to get this thing finished. I usually start it up and let it idle for a while when I get to the shop.

As an update here is what is currently on the to do list:

Mod np205 for twin sticks
Crossmember for the 205
Install on the truck and make linkages
Tear down the 14 bolt, shave and rebuild it.
Install disc brakes on the 14 bolt and put the 1410 yoke on.
Reinstall brakes on the D60
Install 1410 yoke on the D60
Get the shocks mounted back up
Install battery
Buy and install second battery
Finish wiring the accessories and gauges
Drop fuel tank, plug extra ports, find leak and patch.
Have driveshafts made up.
...and then tear up some trails
