The strap and hook you just have to roll up and there's a slot under the seat where it goes in.. Where the end of the strap is attatched

Anybody know what this 2nd row seat belt retention clip is, and how (& why) it is used? I couldn't align the seat belt in any standard position to even remotely come close to having it retained, it kept falling out, so I assume I am using this incorrectly. I thought it might help with the occasional seat belt strap rattle when bouncing around.

Also, perhaps somewhat related, when you fold up your 2nd row for additional cargo room, and you unfold the self-contained strap & hook to attach to the 'oh crap' handles, what is your preferred method for storing the hook/strap back underneath the seat? I am (literally) pushing rope trying to shove that crap back into place.

Simply keeps belt and buckle from flopping around back there. Metal buckle insert slides in after belt. Nifty device.

Thanks - your photo helps a ton. Looks like there'll be about a 15 degree bend, but securing the seat belt and eliminating that rattle will restore some of my sanity!

For the other strap under the folded up seat, I'll keep playing that game of tetris/origami to see what I can come up with. Seems I can only get the hook to go into the nook in one particular orientation, which also happens to prevent the insertion of the strap without some convoluted wrapping/rolling technique before placing everything under the seat and snapping the cover plate over the top of the buckle/strap combo.

About that origami folding trick under the seat... It's annoying, isn't it?! Can't figure out why they didn't just build in a seat-belt-like roll-up for the seat strap.

That literally took me days to figure out after the first time i used them, you'll need to re-adjust the velcro strap then put some pressure on the release of the hook while rolling it, I'll get a photo of that when I'm by my cruiser

Am I losing my mind or is there a state in the climate control that will not allow you to turn off the A/C? I tried recirculate, direct, defrost on and off, various manual combos of fan, etc and I can not turn off the A/C?

That's it thanks! I never use that thing but @DawnC had a drink cooling in there. This was driving me crazy!

Post 3-day weekend stupid question:

I'm looking for a source of switches that will fit my '13 Cruiser. There are bunches of large rockers available, but after e-bay, amazon, and google I'm exhausted for searching for the newer smaller switches. I'd estimate the mounting hole is a little less than an inch in both height and width. I'm not looking for something complicated...just a blank switch, spst, with an led for triggering a driving light relay.

Help would be appreciated, and thanks ahead of time...I hope.

Steve

did you search using google images to find the style you like / want.

Did you check these ones posted by Billfish?
I think the 2nd link by elkaholic redirects to the switches

Amazon sells a bunch of OE Toyota style switches, FYI.

I've googled this and couldn't find a definite answer.
Does anyone know if the 5.7L engine in the LC200 for the USA market is assembled in the same Tahara plant/ facility as the actual land cruiser? All I can find is the 3UR-FE is cast in an Alabama plant on wilkepedia (This engine is cast at Toyota's Bodine Aluminum and currently assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama). are these casts then shipped back to Tahara to complete the engine assembly? This logistics seems odd but I suppose it's possible...

Back to PB switches to fit a 200-series...

I looked on amazon.com with no luck...found this on eBay from an Australian company and they have other varieties. ~ $17 Aus + shipping.

Link...Push Switch Spot Lights Toyota Prado 150 200 Landcruiser 200 RAV4 Green LED 12V

The only other choice I can find are OEM switches...but I don't want pre-engraved switches and pricing is north of $50.

Sorry had a dumb moment. I didn't put in the link in the last post.

They're all engraved though, I don't think anyone sells blank switches

200 Series Accessory Switches?

You slide the belt into the back groove. Then put the metal buckle tip through the front slot from top to bottom. Its a retainer to keep the belt out of the way when not in use. Pretty slick design.
