SQOTD - what happens if you use 275/65/18 tires with a spare of OEM size 285/60 18 (Wouldn't be driving on the spare more than the distance needed to get to a tire shop, say 25 miles max) ? Probably about a 2% difference in circumference.
I don't think it can affect much if you drive at low speeds, I've seen some AWD with those silly space saver tires.

We did something like that a few years back with a buddy's chevy...his was a pretty good difference in size, and the wheel speed sensors didn't like it much. threw all kinds of codes, but got us to the tire shop.

I'm no expert but doesn't running two different sized tires on opposite sides cause the differential gears to want to turn at different rates causing some serious damage?

@sage1 - When you do not have a locked differential, the two wheels on the same axle will run at 2 different rotational speeds going around turns. They only go at the same speed in a straight line. Once locked, then it is an entirely different story!

Good link in the FAQ under General, Diffs for dummies :D

Hoping to find a good source for a OEM looking fog light switch that I'd like to use instead of the cheap looking/feeling ones that came with my lights. Thanks!

Crawlorado makes one for just about every Totota and the Tundra. I bought one for my 60, maybe they could a vinyl blackout for your 200?

They could and have offered. I have been too busy to make measurements or make a template. I have one of their kits for my 80. I'm not sure if I want a section blacked out or the whole hood. I think I'll look at wrapping the entire hood in flat black.

I think you can find a factory Toyota switch for a vehicle other than a 200 similar to this

Or go aftermarket, especially if you're doing multiple switches...

I'm curious what has prompted you to do this?
The only thing I can guess is maybe you have roof-mounted wide-throw lights that create too much glare off your hood?

619TOY, I appreciate the link to the Yaris switch...I'm doing a Hella 4000 installation now, and I wanted a drop-n switch with only a picture of the lamp, which apparently Air Onboard doesn't make. I did get switches from them for the Hella's with city lights, for rear fog light(s), and cornering lights...price is not inexpensive maybe because the snap-in pigtail, shipping is fast.

That's right..to keep the glare down. I also like the way it looks. It'll prevent most rock chips too.

Also nice that you can throw a tool or firearm on the hood without worrying about the ass chewing you are going to get if your wife finds new beauty marks on the beast.

How to you get the license plate lights out? The manual is vague.

Edit: easy. Just push inward towards license plate then pull down.

Be sure and post photos when done. :)

Anyone know the interior dimensions of the 41" ARB drawers commonly used for 200s?
