It should auto connect with no imput at all from you. As a rich said, somethings not right with yours.

Sheesh; that's not what I wanted to hear....

Sinister
Let's try and plan a meet up on the beach in LI. I have one LC friend that will join us. That makes 3.

This is about tires and what's the largest I can go to without rubbing or cutting away mud flaps or fender wells, etc.

I know there is a tire database thread, but it's up to 9 pages, and I'm not thinking of newer control arms or wheel spacers...i'm looking for something stupid-simple.

Truck is a 2013 Land Cruiser, oem tires are Michelin Latitude HP's, 285-60 x 18. I'm thinking along the lines ot Toyo A/T2's, maybe 70 or 75's...anybody have experience with 285 or 295 or 305 cross-sections??

Best analogy I can give you is I'm looking for as good a fit as the current Toyo A/T/s on :princess:'s 100 series...their size is 285-75 x 16.

Thanks for any help.

Steve

The largest I would go on a stock truck with stock 18" wheels is 285/65-18. That size tire is about 32.5" in diameter.

On my stock truck, I run the TRD 17" wheels with the Toyota recommended 285/70-17 tires. Those tires are about 32.8" in diameter and do not rub under any conditions - but I would be uncomfortable going any bigger.

Sorry I can't give experiential advice on the size you want, but let's just call it an educated recommendation.

So, it works now, but when I turn off the tuck and restart it, I am having to manually hit audio>bt>connect each time. Isn't it supposed to auto-connect like the bluetooth telephone?

Are you waiting a few seconds for stereo to detect the portable player?

It does take a minute or more sometimes.

No, I am not. How long are we talking here?

Mine connects in seconds.

Hold your key fob against the start button.
Your remote batt might be low

I think he is saying that the car battery is dead.

If it is not starting with a jump, I have no idea....

Is everything on the truck dead? Or, is it just the starter that is not turning?

Update?

Ok so before you all think I'm retarded, here is the whole story!

My friend was helping me build a deer stand inside an old tobacco barn. I brought my Sawzall and its charger..

I put the ignition in ACC position which apparently drained the battery..

The ignition button was orange and I could hear a clicking sound coming from DS firewall.

I got my friend's wife to find us out in the country by the tobacco barn. (Middle of nowhere)

We hooked up some jumper cables but nada. Ignition button still orange, clicking continued.

Found a small tool kit in glovebox (Christmas present from friend)

Managed to get battery cable off the positive terminal.

When I pulled the cable off the ignition switch turned green.

Pressed button, still wouldn't start. Button back to orange.

Repeated this process several times.

Let it charge for 5 minutes with other vehicle running.

Suddenly gauges lit up, pressed ignition and it fired up!

Never thought I would cuss that damn ignition switch, but today I lost my $#!+ !!!

Did you get the hookers out of the barn before the buddies wife showed up?

Funny you said that, we named our new stand "the Doe Drop Inn."

It's big enough to sleep in.
