I'm sitting in downtown Boise, in my office, and other than looking grey and misty, I have not seen any decent snow yet. They are talking that it will be rain before long... Not sure that I will get a chance or have a reasonable reason to use the washers.
I used the washers on the trip home from Spokane at night. They did a great job...I had a Cruiser covered with dirt but the headlights only showed a dead bug or 3.

Yes it lights up. If the defroster works it's just the button indicator bulb. If it doesn't work, head to the fuse box.

It is still under warranty so I will take it to the dealer and let them figure it out.

Here is my stupid question of the day. I pushed the front defroster button this morning, but the light on the button never lit up, no matter how many times I pushed it. Any ideas? Burned out bulb?

Dealer says it is a part in the HVAC system. He's ordered the part.

Curious as to what is behind the rear bumper hitch plate. Does the 200 come with a receiver hitch already installed? too lazy to go out in the cold and take it off. Thanks!

Yes. And a very decent tow vehicle the 200 is, too!

Just dip your head lower than your rear bumper (or take off the cover) and you'll see there is a full hitch under there. Pop the cover off...then look in your storage space either in your tailgate storage or the storage on the right rear...and you'll probably find various trailer light adapters that plug in under there as well. :)

Or... Look in your owner's manual. ;)

Thanks! I checked out the manual but it did not show any pictures of the hitch, just the plate and how to remove it. Fantastic, I don't need to go out and have a hitch put on. I did see the various light adapters in the tailgate storage.

I'm pretty sure the reason its there is because they only sell a fully-decked-out version of the Cruiser in the US any more...so you get the tow setup. ;)

Steve,
I tried the washers once we got some snow here. They do not actuate (no pop up, no flow), so now I am troubleshooting them. Not a high priority, but I still like having everything work on my truck. Just curious, but do you push and hold down the button to actuate the washers, or just push it momentarily and it goes through a timed cycle? I tried momentary, but then I did not see any fluid there and tried holding the button down.

I thought mine did not work too, I found out that you have to have the headlights on for the washers to work, if you are on Day running light, the washers do not turn on. You just need to press and hold as long as needed, usually a little squirt does the trick.

Oh man, Island beat me to it. I just figured this out over the weekend as well. I was telling the kids about it and they wanted to see the washers pop up....I knew I had done it once before but could not get it to work. Then when we pulled into the garage and the AUTO lights feature turned my headlights on, I tried it again and it worked! I think we all said "AHA!" at the same time.....

EDIT: Island1064,
Thank you. I did not know about the interlock with the lights. I will have to try again with my lights on!

Sometimes takes a bit of priming to fill the lines as well. It's really fun to have your buddy "watch" them for you when they finally load up and spray.

That would be funny! I tried mine out with the lights on and they sprayed very aggressively! I had deflected spray hitting the windshield, so I KNEW they were working, plus I could hear the pump going too. All good here.

Yes - mine also provide more of a "front end wash" rather than headlight wash! it can also be useful when at a cross walk at a busy intersection and people are getting just a little to close your baby!

Ya... Mine sprays a TON of water too..,.at pretty high pressure!

My driver's side headlamp has been getting moisture inside after a good rain, wash and or condensation. There appears to be a slight gap between the lens and the body. Not sure how much a new set of lens' would be, I bet quite a lot. It is almost as if exposure to the sun has shrunken the lens just enough to allow moisture in. Anybody have this problem. The issue looks to be near the top of the lens next to the hood.

Can you post an image?

Thank you for the response. Here is the best I could do tonight. Compared to the passenger side, there appears to be almost a 1/8" gap between the plastic and the body/hood mostly where the lens begins to curve around the corner. At the moment I have put a few strips of cleat tape in the hope that it will provide some seal. Would using a clear silicon in the gap be a possible solution. No moisture in the passenger lens Aren't these headlamps supposed to be a self contained part, sealed at the factory?.

I removed both of my headlights when I installed my front bumper. The headlights are sealed units, the body / hood does nothing more than cradle them. If moisture is creeping in then I'd wager theres an issue with the headlight body itself.

That's what I was afraid of...At $645.00 each, this will hurt. Both of my lamps have fade and are showing quite a bit of age for 2 years old. Then again, the lenses on my wife's Lexus IS250 are toast as well. Not too impressed.
