It going to be a shame to hide all the work that went into the engine, frame and running gears with the body.

ha ha could just make it a buggy...nice work bro that should be very sweet when done

Have been working at building a turbo manifold so not much progress other than cleaning shop to get some space so i can bring the body back inside. But after setting on the rad support and fenders, i see i have to move the axle rearward an inch or so.

After a test fit i found i had to rework the turns into the turbo flange. I turned the turbo so the mount is facing up now i think i have a workable manifold.
With a little more welding, and some clean up i can send it out for ceramic coating.

"Some pics from tonight" is such an unassuming name for such a cool build. Gotta clean my keyboard off every time I see the updates. Very well done.

Have gotten a few things done since the last post, pulled the head off and found all four precups to be cracked, so while awaiting parts i did a little clean up in the bowls and polished up the ports. Lapped the valves to chech the seats, guides are mint.
Decided to put disc brakes on the rear so i made up some brackets to mount calipers, machined the centers out of a pair of mini truck rotors and a little off the axle flange. I will be using 1" spacers so the calipers will clear the wheels.

Nice wall art...

Picked up parts from being coated in high temp ceramic, turned out nice.
Did some mods to the turbo housing before coating, pressed a slug into the waste gate port, machined and pressed in a sleeve to smooth flow past wastgate exit. i will be adding an adjustable wastegate before the intercooler.

Looks super clean. Very awesome.

Little worried about the shackle angle though.

I am a little worried about it to, but the springs should sag some and i hope when the body is back on they take a better angle.

I haven't done much at all with the 60 i have been working at painting my mini truck and had to do a head gasket on the 80.
I did get the head back so i got it and the manifolds back on.
I had the exhaust ports, pre cups & chambers coated with a heat reflecting ceramic.
Made a twin stick setup and stuck them on to see how it fit.

A few comments. Not in order. First. Love the pictures on your garage wall. Second. Love the fact that you did this in a regular size garage. Third. Someone should contact 4Wheel and Sport Utility or Petersen's 4WD or 4WD Toyota Owners magazine and recommend this rig for a feature. Awesome work.

Got the injection pump back yesterday, got it and the lines stuck on today after work.
Next up, i'll tackle the alternator/vac pump.

Thanks for the comments, as for the regular garage i did some measuring.
When the body goes back on i'll have to do that outside then bring it in on rims only.
If i put the rubber back on it will be about 2" from the ceiling, i'll have to move a light fixture or two.

Looks like it's coming from the bellhousing, but it is actually the plug from the EDIC motor.
