To windy outside to weld so i cleaned the shop and used the wife's quad to pull the chassis over to a friends shop for a few weeks.
Now i can get the body inside to work on it, i did however test fit my shortened fuel tank into the bobbed body.
Fit is perfect.
Once i shorten the straps that's one more thing that is good to go.

Decided to change the colour and paint the 60 Dune Beige.
Picked up paint of Fri after work so i just had to spray somthing so i layed some on the rad support.
Been glass beading nuts n bolts and rust painting them as well as other parts.

That middle picture reminds me of the Invisible man or something. A face, but no body,

Good work!

Great build, subscribed.

Thanks for all the comments guys, i will keep the updates coming.
I just can't wait to get the body back on.

Couple of pics from Canada day.
Got the body back in the garage and welded on my rocker covers and caped off the rear quarters as well.
Had my boy pulling everything from the firewall, then he will be scuffing it for prime and paint.

Took the 60 for a short flight this morning, and landed it right on the chassis.
Just have to figure out how to get it back in the garage.
I think i might change out the 2" springs for stock height ones.

HA - Love the flying chassis pic!

Looking great!

Haha. Nice shots. And even better work!

That thing is huge.

Haha, awesome pics man!
You dog, I need a Hiab crane myself right now to flip my frame and set my motor in to weld the tranny crossmember.

Great job, gives me some motivation when ever i see work like this.

thats one bad b:censor:. IMO, since I kinda lean on the :hillbilly: side every now and then, you should keep the 2" springs. :grinpimp:
GREAT work, been watchin this build up for some time now, one of my favorites

I was expecting it to settle out a little more than it did.
The angle on the shackles is not right, so at the very least i will be swapping out the main leaves for longer ones.
In the long run this is probably a good thing, longer springs should flex better.
