SOA with 35s or 37s pictures?

This brings up another question I've had. Is a shackle reversal really that great? Is it something that will greatly increase articulation or ride comfort? I understand the reason why SR is done, but is it worth it? Or should I just slap a set of 4+ anti inversion shackles on instead?

At the end of the day, I did mine for the improved approach angle.

Here's mine.
SOA
Stock springs, stock (length) shackles
Long AALs all 4 corners
35in BFG MTs
Gets a lil rub up front, but Ive been too lazy to lengthen bump stops.
I actually really like the set up.
Flexes well, and is not as prone to breaking my stock birfs/ axels.

Oh yeah, Ive got 4.88's in the diffs.

Chicago, I've read through your thread a few times, its pretty helpful. Yours looks pretty much perfect, maybe I'll just do 35s. The thing I like about 35s is that you can get BFG A/Ts in a 35x12.50R15 but I think you have to go to a 17in wheel to get 37s.

SOA on 37"s

Here was my SOA on 37's - Man-A-Fre shackle reversal, BTB 4" srpings, custom shackles, rear shackle hangers on both axles moved forward 1 1/2", 1 1/2" wheel spacers(really did'nt want to use them), cut fenders.

Like it says I'm looking for pictures of SOAs with 35s or bigger and list what gears your running. If you could also list your suspension set up would be great (OMEs, stock+AAL, shackle reversal...that sort of stuff)

here is mine. 35's, 3" springs but I removed a leaf, shackle reversal (no cut and turn) and put all four shackle hangers through the frame. (see build in link below) 3.70 gears because I have an SM465 4 speed. I can easily fit 37's but can't afford them just yet.

Yeah I just got done reading your build thread. I cant wait to get mine sprung over. I just have to work out the cost of everything which could take a while. I figure I can buy used tires which will save a bunch of money. So the big money is the hi steer, SOA kit from ruff stuff, driveshafts and gears.

Ruffstuff kit $425
Trail gear hi steer $300
4.56 gears $400
Total $1125 + tires and driveshafts

they are the normal polished aluminum ones that everyone used to have, I just sanded 'em and painted 'em black. I got tired of cleaning and polishing.

Stock springs. 4+ longer shackles. Long AALs at all 4 corners. I still need front bumpstops:)

Im glad that my write up helped!
Just FYI, I am planning on going to 37's (actually, 36in TSL SX's) in the future when I can afford the longs and my BFGs are wore out.
I will say, it is NOT a performance issue with the 35's...I have not yet been in a situation that has left me saying..."I need bigger tires". Its just more....well....I WANT EM!:D:o
What can I say...

Dude...Dont take this the wrong way, but your rig is HOT!
Nice job!

I seen this one just this weekend...

I was gonna load it up on the tow dolly and bring it back to fort worth:beer:

Nothing in the world like the flex of an SOA'd rig!
Gotta love it!

I'm going to go with which ever I can find used first and for the cheapest. If it comes down to buying new a 35x12.5R15 is $162 while a 37x12.5R17 is $319 thats for a BFG A/T.
