I'm going to use Super Lube, the same stuff I used on the tailgate gears. Same system as the wiper gears. The can says it can even be used as wheel bearing grease, I never used it there.
Super Lube doesn't dry out or melt, good stuff.

Yes, seems to be working fine. I haven't seen any sign of breaking down (liquidizing) anywhere.
