No, the first was a Wolf/Malamute cross someone owned down the road, she didn't leave my property. The second one was two male Boxers, they didn't leave alive either. We figured the wolf cross cost me about @$6 grand in lost animals, by far the worst of the two attacks. The Boxes killed two and ate the ears off of most the others, before I arrived. Two bad days. I now shoot any dog, I don't know that is running the fence line and the Anatolians take care of anything that gets inside. I practice the three S's...Shoot, Shovel, and Shutup.
 
On a better thought, here's our three bottle babies, spending the night in the kitchen...

I had St. Louis Spring make up three extra leaves for the back packs, turned out three were too much, so I had an extra set left over. They re-arched those and put in the front pack. I'm guessing over time the new leaves will sag, too. At that time I can get them all re-arched.

Here's a funny story for the day. Had my computer guy reset the codes it was throwing, I did it wrong (go figure), took all of two minutes and back on the road. Gas gauge was bouncing on empty, so I filled up. 55 gals at $155 and I get back home. As I'm getting out, smell gas, yup got a leak. Couldn't just be a worm gear clamp, no it had to be the level gauge that I can't reach unless I drop the tank! :bang: So, I'm figuring 60 gals of gas needs to be drained. I have more 5 gal. cans than most, living on a farm, but that's a lot of cans. Sat. I just bought 20 gals. for the mower and most of the other stuff is diesel. Another :bang: . My Son brought over a couple cans and his EMPTY mower :hillbilly: because he heard something about free gas. So, I should make it with the cans I have, but decided to drink a few beers and think about it. I'll jump on it tomorrow.

Every farm I have surveyed had a bath tub or a toilet in a field. You have a bath tub? Just sayin.
 
I drained 15 or so gallons today. I had a plastic 40 series tank. Made it easier.

If I had that much I'd lift it with my trackhoe and drain into a 55 gallon drum or my 100 gallon tank I bought after hurricane Katrina

Everything but draining gas tanks. Done deal, roughly 60 gals in 5 gal. cans. Before I had my system down, had gas running down my back, in my ear, arms, you name it I was primed for a bon fire. The drain plug is a thread I've never seen before, not Metric, NPT or SAE. Took me 2 hours, but finally did it safe. I stopped for the day to celebrate being alive and have a few Buds. :beer:

I'm going to use Super Lube, the same stuff I used on the tailgate gears. Same system as the wiper gears. The can says it can even be used as wheel bearing grease, I never used it there.

Super Lube doesn't dry out or melt, good stuff.

Do you still like the super lube?

I have been on another project lately, but I need to rebuild a windshield wiper transmission and a sunroof. I think the grease in both is old...
 
Took me all week but I made it thru the build thread......absolutely beautiful work and attention to detail. The perfect mix of OEM originality and new school technology. I just picked up my first FJ55 and have so many great ideas from the work you have documented and shared on this site along with everybody elses experiances and comments along the way. My notebook is full of various things I wrote down. Then to see this work of art wheeled out west with your co-pilot :princess: by your side is the icing on the cake. Just good stuff! Heres to a beer raised in honor of "Mud Hen" :beer:
