So the boredom is getting to me. I need something to work on (looking for anything from 40s-80s). Pretty firm on $30K. I realize that is a huge number and maybe it represents my reluctance in ultimately letting it go. I have been saving for a project cruiser in addition to my 60 but the market seems to be running away faster than I can save (LOL). So time to fund some fun!

1985 (7/85) Fj60 with 110K miles currently (drive almost every day so mileage will increase). OME lift with BFG 33/10.5/15 ATs on Fj40 steelies and caps. Lift done two years ago and tires purchased new shortly afterward (maybe 5K miles on tires). Painted about 5-6 years ago and holding up super! No rust anywhere (said all the time but absolute truth here). Put a H55f in it about 3500 miles ago and is working perfectly. ReplaCED Rear main, clutch, TO and pilot bearings. Overhauled T.C. and replace oil pan and gasket. NO LEAKS AT ALL!!! Fully "smogged" 2F with 110K miles. Everything works! (from headlight washers to rear wipers)

Interior is really the only place where issues exist. Cracked dash (under a gray dash cap) and a broken A/C bezel. Speaking of A/C, it is freezing cold! Heat works. Carpet is new with a full mat set. Bluetooth stereo inside Smittybilt center console. Factory cloth seats with no rips or fades (driver is getting a little "baggy" but holding together nicely. Headliner tight and clean.

I will post an overview of pictures and if you want to see anything specific, I will quickly oblige. Build thread is here: Silver Surfer Build 1985 Fj60

...Should ad that my 60 was bought new in Rancho Palos Verdes and spent some time in Wyoming and Idaho before coming to Texas. Underside is as nice as top. Full thickness frame rails and crossmember with only a surface flashing of corrosion.

Nicest 60 I have seen. Surprising news this is on the market. Don’t let it get away.

@upperblack Thanks man! I really need 2 cruisers! I miss turning (throwing) wrenches. This one needs NOTHING more than someone to put the miles on her.

Don't sell it buy another one for wrenching on if you're bored and need garage time.

Or just drive it a load more miles something will give out, probably the smog pump:D

Yours has long been one of my favorite rigs on here, I think you will miss it like crazy if you sell it.

LOL @erse circumstances will most likely dictate that course of action. Not too many out there looking to spend 30 on a 60. I am just getting impatient (shocker) I have about 10 saved up for now but looks like i may need another 4 or 5 to find me a driving 40 to work on / sort out.

If you are just hard up to wrench, I could order an H55 for mine and we could put it in.

As a reference point this truck just sold on BAT for $24,000 and it had 193k on the clock and was in stock configuration. So it appears that the market is now starting to support and recognize the value of clean FJ60's....so with your lower mileage, the lift, and a really clean truck $30k may not be out of the question. It may not be in the realm of most of us Mudders :) but a market like BAT may bring a sale.

GLWS, truck looks great.

SOLD!!! Going back to Cali!

She has been a great partner. She will be missed!!!
