OK. Maybe this is another way to look at it:
Count the number of things (connections) that are DIFFERENT from each vehicle, or in other words, things that would need to be modified to either harness (with all components appropriately swapped, where possible):
To the FJ harness I'd have to graft/swap: starter, alternator, glow, wiper motor, assorted idiot lights, EDIC, water sensor/sedimenter, ___________ (fill in the blank, I am out of stuff I can think of).
To the HJ harness I would have to graft: windows (4), mirrors (2), side marker lights (4), headlights (2), ___________.
Another consideration: The FJ harness is 7 years younger, never saw saltwater and is cleaner.
I don't give a Rattus norvegicus's sphincter ani which one I use, I just want to do which one is easiest and best.
