Quick question:

I ordered some new rotors for my 1998 HZJ75. I am currently at the stage that I have removed everything, but I have no clue how to separate the current disc from the hub.

I have the 6 lug nut version and there are no additional bolts or threaded holes foreseen in my current set up.

Is it just a matter of using a hammer to tap out the wheel stud bolts (with the nuts on to not damage the threads) then separating the rotor from the hub assembly?

I also bought new rotors that have the same six holes in them but also a couple of extra ones obviously for a different type of hub assembly. Could I still use these on this setup or is it better to look for a matching hub assembly?

Thanks a lot!

Yes you will need to remove the studs. Either the way you describe or press them out.

I had to get mine pressed out.

I beat the heck out of mine with a mini sledge hammer. They did not budge.
I bought a junky Harbor Freight press to do the job.
I think some hubs have six bolts + locater pins or dowels.
I would use the rotors you bought.

I had to load mine up in a 10ton press and hammer on them to get them apart. Is a bit of a PITA. Careful of your electric hubs if you have them. It's easy to break the brushes off.

The shop I used had a 50 ton press. They broke the rotors getting them off, which were due to be replaced anyway

Mine came of all by themselves at high speed! Twice! I don't recommend that method.
