Hello all! First post. Wish it was a happier one but hay she ain’t broke and I’m sure she can be mended. Here is the hub assembly for my 1994 Prado. It should not look like this correct? Any advice/diagnostic/comments would be much appreciated. Thanks and look forward to talking to you all!

Looks fine to me, maybe a bit dry on the RH side. Put more moly grease in the hubs (via the square plugs in the top of the knuckles).

Leaking oil is a sign that they need to be rebuilt, grease/dirt is normal. You could wash it off with a toothbrush and some diesel.

2x on @Eurasiaoverland .
Just a bit dry & dirty. Put moly grease in (square-headed plugs on top of knuckles), but don't overfill. See FSM.
Knuckles need rebuild when a black oily slush of grease and gear oil shows up. Not the case here, unless there is gear oil in the axle at all 😅.
I don't know your history with that rig, but probably a complete oil & grease job wouldn't hurt?
Good Luck Ralf

Thank you! That’s really good advice and actionable. I’ll get started on that tomorrow.

I agree with the other guys too!, not yet. Mate of mine who doesn't work on his car took his old hilux to a mechanic with adhd or something, mechanic yelled at him for bringing a dirty car into his workshop. He is a good mechanic.
